Didn't Bush say the No. 1 security threat facing the world is nuclear weapons in the wrong hands?

It's cliche to say, but it really is "a dangerous world we live in" and, now, even President Bush recognizes that. Or why else would his Administration have given India a "pass" on The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)?

As Frank Gaffney, president of the Center for Security Policy explains in Monday's Washington Times (below), the threats that North Korea and Iran pose to the Free World, coupled with their abject violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, has prompted the U.S. to recognize an omnious post-Cold War reality: the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is dead.

Gaffney was a member of the Reagan Defense Department which helped bring about the end to the former Soviet Union through tough "Peace through Strength" policies. Check out his new book War Footing.
