Coaches Accused Of Using Screws On Gymnasts

Local6 is reporting...

Two Central Florida gymnastics coaches are facing child cruelty charges after being accused of using screws to discipline young children who performed with poor technique, according to a Local 6 News report.

Two mothers recently came forward claiming coaches Michael Turner, 34, and Christopher Bonn, 18, at Ace Gymnastics in Longwood jabbed their children with the screws.

The first woman said she noticed wounds on the bodies of her two children and went to authorities, Local 6 News reported.

After the first complaint, another woman came forward with similar accusations.

Investigators said the Turner and Bonn would jab the children so hard that it would break the skin.

The children were subjected to a type of disciplinary action that left scars on their bodies, according to the sheriff's office.
