MEL PLANS 'MIRACLE' FILM
By TODD VENEZIA

First Mel Gibson made "The Passion of the Christ" — now he's planning to make a movie about the miracle of Fatima.

The "Braveheart" actor will bring to life the story of three peasant children who were said to have been given a prophetic vision of the future by the Virgin Mary at Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, London's The Mail on Sunday newspaper reported.

I read on NewsMax about his visit with Sister Lucia and her request to see the Passion movie before she died. He actually met with her over a year ago, but didn't want it to go public because he didn't want people to think he met with her as a publicity stunt for the Passion movie.

Cloistered nuns of her order aren't allowed to give public comments, especially her due to her sensitive role. But just her acceptance of Mel's visitation tells me that he is highly respected and will in turn respect the history and story of Fatima and do it justice.

I'm excited about the creation of this next movie.
