Man Convicted After Causing His Girlfriend Miscarry At Her Request

Nineteen-year-old Gerardo Flores was convicted in Texas yesterday (June 6th) of two counts of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison for stepping on his 17-year-old girlfriend's stomach and causing her to miscarry twins. Flores were convicted under the state's new fetal protection law despite the fact that his girlfriend, Erica Basoria, acknowledged that she'd asked Flores to help end her pregnancy. Basoria, however, can't be prosecuted because of her legal right to abortion. Flores was automatically sentenced to life in jail, since prosecutors didn't seek the death penalty.

According to the Associated Press, Basoria told authorities that when she was about four months pregnant, she regretted not getting an abortion and tried to induce a miscarriage by jogging, not taking her prenatal vitamins, and hitting her belly. When that didn't work, she asked Flores to help. Flores told police that he stepped on Basoria's stomach several times the week before she miscarried.

By convicting the boyfriend of the manslaughter charge IT ALREADY proves that there is life before birth.

Inequality of the sexes? Bah! Inequality of responsibility. If he wanted the kid he has no say if she went to have an abortion. If he didn't want the kid he'd still be forced to pay child support.

The choice, "ladies and gentleman", begins in the bedroom, or the backseat of the car, or the....you get the point. But the "LIBERAL LEFT" has indoctrinated our country, our children, in the classroom, that instant gratification is supreme. What I want, when I want it, right now. That the 4 second orgasm is more important than looking at the potential consequences in the bigger picture.

Sad. Sick. Dispicable.
