Tom Tancredo said what others have thought. What will the wimps in Washington do after the next attack? The survivors will want to hold hearings. The libs will contact the ACLU. The media will want to know how many gays and blacks were killed. The terrorists will laugh their asses off! W. will blather on about "bringing them to justice". And bore his audience again.
The Imam also seems to be at odds with how muslim families work. Here's an excerpt and glimpse into the radical differences between our cultures..."But that’s the thing, families of terrorists are NOT innocent. Muslim families don’t function like western families; all members are tightly controlled by the head of the family – usually the father or grandfather. When one member does something wrong it brings shame on the entire family/clan/tribe. There is no such thing as one of their own becoming a terrorist without their knowledge and consent! Every terrorist has an extended family that supports him or her, so they all share in the guilt and should be deported..." Read more on my blog.
This Imam is either a liar or ignorant. He was asked point blank if Christians had the same God. He said yes. He ought to read surah 109 titled "The Unbelievers" or "The Rejectors" where it would tell him that we have different Gods. Also there is surah 9 titled "Booty" or "Spoils" the longer title is "The Spoils of War" check out verse 9:5 and in another verse it talks about them having nonmuslims as friends (surah 5:51.) By the way they don't have a surah titled "Peace". The only thing that we have to go on is what their main book says. I have made a small study of the Koran and I came to the unfortunate and sad conclusion that it is an extremily violent belief.
One thing that you have to realize in Islam is "Naskh". The meaning of this word is that a new verses overrides a previous verse. The proof of this is found in the Koran in Surahs 2:106 and 16:101. This is important because the first half half of the Koran was written in Mecca and the second half in Medina. The only problem is that the Koran is arranged by the order of surah size not by time, so you can't easily tell which surah is which. All the violent verses are from the Medina time period, so they overwrote the more peaceful verses from Mecca.
This segment is where PC was all mouth and no brain. Still riding the wave from Tancredo.
In reponse to PC's unbelief of a vast sweeping mistrust....Just look at how dominate muslim countries treat their jurisprudence. Their religious clerics pass the judgment and sentence. Do we want this in the US? Can the iman state which muslim country he admires for its judiciary? Take that response from him and run with it. It will require PC to do some homework. I hope PC does not form his opinion of the muslim community from the few associations he has with them, when world evidence is scream with the blood contrarary to that.
Is Allah the same God as the Christian God. Well look at an Arabic translation of the Bible. Every time the word "God" comes up the word is translated as Allah....and these are translations done by Arab Christians. Also in Aramaic, the language of Jesus....God is referred to as Alaha.
