Do you know anything about this man?

I was reading a story about Priests and sexual abuse in the Philadelphia Inquirer. I ran across this...

Father Cudemo. "Father Nicholas V. Cudemo, ordained in 1963, was described to the Grand Jury as 'one of the sickest people I ever knew' by Monsignor James E. Molloy, Cardinal Bevilacqua's vicar for administration. Father Cudemo raped an 11-year-old girl, molested a fifth grader in the confessional, invoked God to seduce and shame his victims, and maintained sexually abusive relationships simultaneously with several girls from the Catholic school where he was a teacher. His own family sued him for molesting a cousin.

"Yet, with serious allegations against the priest on record, Cardinal Bevilacqua twice promoted him to serve as pastor of Philadelphia parishes. Only after victims threatened to name the Cardinal and the Archdiocese in a lawsuit was Fr. Cudemo removed from his pastorate." He was permitted to retire in good standing in 1997 and moved to Orlando, Fla.
Have you ever hear of this man? Is he here in Orlando? Is he working for the Diocese? Does he have access to children?

He needs to be outed and somebody out to get with the retired Bishop Dorsey and the diocese to see what the hell this is all about.
This is disgusting and I will say this to everybody...the hierarchy of this diocese needs to publicly ask for forgiveness. There are so many good priests and sisters who are suffering because the ones in the ivory tower continue to excuse and hide this behavior.
The only thing the hierarchy understands is money....so close the check books until the bishop
cleans house....and send them all to the Vatican where they should be locked up.

Pat, I am from Philadelphia, I was an altar server throughout grade school and came into frequent contact with Fr. Cudemo. Even when he was a priest in Philly, he spent practically every weekend in Florida. After he retired, he moved to Orlando. Rumor has it that he told one of his victims during their relationship, that he was able to and planned to minister in Florida. If you are a priest in "good standing" then you are allowed to visit parishes unhindered. He had access to children his entire tenure in Philadelphia, even when it was known he was a rapist, molester, and liar. Every weekend he was not in Florida, he would stay at Immaculate Conception in NE Philly, a parish with a school and gigantic child population. He was allowed to roam the rectory alone, while young schoolboys tended to the phones and altar boys prepared for Mass. Nothing has changed since then. It is a disgrace of the highest order. I knew Fr. Cudemo for many years. he always seemed like a wonderful man, a kind-hearted soul - whatever. More personal conversations showed me that he had a rather warped perspective on life, he had racist tendencies, and he was overly-affectionate with children. Little did i know it went this far. I wish you luck on your search for the truth Pat.
