I've Got To Kill Da Wabbit!

Apparently PETA is giving out these comic books to scare children from eating animals. I don’t think this is a good ’scare tactic’, most young children would probably find these “pamphlets” cool.

PETA, oh yea, those are the people that kill 10s of thousands of pets and give money to FBI certified domestic terrorists.

I can't believe these people are stupid enough to poke their head out from under the rock they hide under.

PETA = People Eating Tasty Animals

Actually, many other countries want U.S. beef. Japan recently banned U.S. beef, because mad-cow disease was found here. They offered to allow ALL U.S. beef, if each animal were tested for mad cow before being shipped, but the U.S. Ag Dept refused to allow it despite the fact that those ranchers and packers who made most of their money from shipments to Japan were willing to pay for the tests, because most ranchers and packers were afraid that it would become mandatory for all U.S. beeves, if it were discovered it could be done easily for those animals which are (were) shipped to Japan. The U.S. Dept of Ag is in the pockets of big beef, but that doesn't make our beef bad. Jeb, you really ought to get your facts straight instead of swallowing all that PETA propaganda.

Jeb, if you want to discuss what the bible says about animals, you really should read the bible first. Genesis, chapter 9, verses 2 and 3 say, "The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything."

"Thou shalt not kill" refers to killing people, not animals. Continuing from the quote above, verse 6 tells us that killing people is bad, because people are made in the image of God. Animals are not made in the image of God; animals are food.

Enough of this, I'm gonna go get a nice, juicy hamburger. Yummy!

The Bible, a book created by the Catholic Church in order to maintain it's power over the people by keeping them in ignorance entertained by fairly tales.

Actually, most of the bible was written and accepted by Israelites (Jews)before the Roman Catholic Denomination ever existed. The balance of the bible was written before the post-Jesus Christians were subjected to control of the Roman Emperor, who, as Pontifex Maximus, was the traditional leader of ALL religions which existed in the Roman empire, morphed them into a controllable body subject to unbiblical, hierarchal control. Eventually, the Roman empire split, and the Roman Catholics in the west claimed a divine mandate over all Christians just as the Eastern Orthodox Catholics, who were centered around the Romans' eastern capitol in Byzantium, claimed autonomy from the power-grabbing RCD. The only part that the early RCD "authorities" can claim is that they gathered together a complete collection of all the letters written by Jesus' Apostles or disciples who studied directly under those Apostles; this collection was put together with Israelite scriptures and became the bible. There's no way that the RCD "created" the bible. God inspired it, and, like an editor / publisher, the RCD put all of the writings together in one book.

For much of its history, the RCD denied its sheeple permission to read the bible, because those who know the bible recognize that many of the RCD's doctrines and practices are contrary to what is written in the bible. Thus, the bible is not and never was a primary tool of the RCD; its primary tool is tradition, Tradition, and Sacred Tradition, which is whatever they want to say it is.

Sometimes I feel bad just killing a roach. Just because of that "thou shall not kill" guilt trip. But you know what? If you have to take this as seriously as that, then where do you draw the line. Should you not kill a mosquito or a termite? And likewise, should you not defend yourself against an armed intruder?
Man has a soul. Animals do not. Why not draw the line there? God is concerned for our souls. He can always remake animals but He cannot remake you.
And I think that if you do not outdraw the bad guy, shame on you.

It takes more land to produce beef than it does to produce more protein from plants on less land. There would be more food if we ate less beef.

So let's just keep overpopulating the land. You will still run out eventually. You can only put so many people in a small apartment. What do you think war is really about? Politics, freedom, or personal space?

Jeb,
He would be proud of us for only slaughtering the ones we needed too. And yes I do have pets. 22 or them. And I don't plan to eat any of them. And when they die, I cry as if they had the souls I wish they had. But, I cannot condem or hate my own heritage of eating meat. Had it not been for this resource, we might not be here now. God favores us. I don't believe in killing animals needlessly or in excess for profit. These are crimes. Don't carry it too an extreme that's unrealistic to what's actual. If you never want to kill an innocent animal, then don't drive because chances are you will kill an innocent animal with your automobile.
