Sheriff's Executive Assistants Paid More Than Deputies

Are Sheriff Beary's Executive Assistants overpaid? You make the call.

Pam Cook didn't have to work the streets for the sheriff's office. She's an executive assistant for Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary and for that she was paid $71,744 a year.

Patricia Russell makes $61,900. Christina Bryson and Beverly Thornton both make $59,000. Victoria Arndt makes $53,000.

Yes, the civilians in the Sheriff's Office are over-paid and over compensated (some have take-home cars that shouldn't). There are not enough deputies on the street and they are not paid enough. Additionally, there are too many "chiefs" and not enough "indians." There is a serious lack of common sense at the Sheriff's Office.
