I seriously can't believe no one has written a comment on this- here we have an Uber Patriot in every sense of the word- a man who stepped up to the plate and kept a 'cherry' from "going after the one" that damn near "nailed" him!
Grandeose- sure- but when's the last time we've had our military portrayed as the ultimate act of defiance to this new threat called Terrorism?
Every caught-on-camera criminal is a "suspect", every terrorist is a 'freedom fighter'.
As anti-American as Apocolyps Now was- from time to time I have to agree with one of the Brando lines from the film...
"Our boys are sent out to hunt down and kill the unthinkable... And in their devine prophecy, someone in the government deems it necessary, that a pilot can not write the word f**k on his plane because it is considered profain?!"
Keep up the good fight in the hearts and minds, Mr Cambell- men like GS Burghard will fight their end so we can keep up our.
Neither can back down- and for the other's cause, neither can afford to fail.
