Durbin Falsely Claims US Has Been In Iraq Longer Than In WWII (VIDEO)
On the floor of the Senate today, Sen. Dick Durbin (D – IL) said that we have been in Iraq longer than we have been in World War II:
DURBIN: The Iraqi War has lasted longer than World War II.
WRONG! The US has been in Iraq for a little over three years. Germany and Japan declared war on the United States in December 1941. The war ended on September 2, 1945 with the surrender of Japan.
Last month Harry Reid said the same thing on CNN’s The Situation Room.
