Saudi Men Who Rode School Bus Released
TAMPA - A judge ordered two Saudi men to be released Tuesday morning after they were charged with trespassing on school property.
Deputies arrested Shaker Mohsen Alsidran and Mana Saleh Almanajam on Friday after they boarded a school bus bound for Wharton High and then gave different stories.
An investigation revealed both are in the United State legally and studying at the English Language Institute at the University of South Florida.
They also found no evidence of criminal activity.
Students on the bus became alarmed, as did the bus driver, who called ahead. Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies met the bus at the school and detained the men. No one was injured and nothing out of line occurred on the bus, deputies said.
Almanajam, 23, and Alsidran, 20, each were charged with trespassing on school property. Both were held at the Orient Road Jail.
Ahmed Bedir with the Central Florida Council on American Islamic Relations talked to the men in jail and says they were simply confused and thinks their trip was a misunderstanding.
He says the real concern is the message this incident sends to others of Middle Eastern descent living in the United States.

I can't believe Saudi Arabia does not provide cultural awareness training, and classes on customs differences between the Middle East and the US. I worked for the US Defense Department and as a civilian employee that traveled for business purposes to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE we were required to attend a class prior to departure, on culture customs, and what not to do to offend an Arab, and get our hands or heads cut off ie: When you eat goat testicles as an appetizer at a guest dinner, and you discover what your eating, swallow slowly.., and don't throw up... Surely don't bring a bible or a Playboy magazine. The Saudi's confiscate your US passport upon arrival in the country, and when they think you can leave, they return it to you. But yet we allow Allie Babba and the band of thieves, to have full run of our country, and CAIR expects there to be no questions asked?? Give me a break. As soon as the airplane leaves Saudi Air Space they are tearing off there head scarfs, and turbans, and changing into American dress, and ordering beer and mixed drinks on the plane.. I thought drinking and smoking was forbidden under the Muslim religion? Who are you people kidding.. Allah? With the defense contractors we used to joke, if their lips are moving they are lieing. If we were in a room with Arabs, we new they were all lieing, because the Arab culture prides themselves with who can get away with telling the biggist lie.
I honestly believe it was a dry run.

- I was in Bahrain and all the Saudis go there because "Allah cannot see across the bridge." (from Saudi Arabia.) They pulled the same games when boarding our vessel. Allah could not see on there either.
Just imagine how two Americans would be treated in Saudi for the same type of cultural misunderstanding. They might not be doing the attack themselves, just testing the theory for others.

I have been told personnaly by a couple Arabs what "smiling fools" us American people are, that we will believe anything they tell us, and the only reason they are in the US, is it's a good place to make money. They had no bank accounts and only dealt in cash.

As usual, this turned out to be nothing. Thank God Debbie Schussel and the other radical hatemongers aren't allowed arrest powers. They would have all foreigners, people of color, and all non neocon Christians in concentration camps. The judge did the right thing. He waited for a clear background check and then let them go.

Court date right... Some judge is going to charge them with tresspassing? Now how can tresspassing charges stick, when we have 12 million illegal immigrants that tresspassed coming into this country are going to be granted amnesty, and provided social security benefits, and free medicaid health insurance. Dear number 4. Have you been a turnip growing in Florida all your life; or have you traveled the world without your rose colored glasses? I have played the BS Vietnam game, grew up in PA, lived in CA, NJ, TX, NYC, Texas, Detroit, WA, Germany; traveled to France, Belgium, Denmark, Holland, Spain, Ireland, East Berlin, England, Italy, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, etc. You better wake up and understand what terrorism really is, and the primary source. Maybe your one of them or just to naive? I have children that I would like to see grow up in a country the same as I did. I smoked pot, did LSD, etc. during Vietnam. A cout date for trespassing, if deemed reasonable, will not allow them to get near a school bus. They did nothing wrong, had it been a Brit or other tourist nobody would have made an issue out of this. This whole thing , as usual, has been blown way out of proportion by the haters like Debbie Schlussel and others on the fringe of the radical right.
