Ted Kennedy continues to be a source of national embarrassment.

The world's most infamous drunk driver and unconvicted killer Ted Kennedy & former Klans man Robert Byrd lecture Rummy on the war in Iraq.

But Rumsfeld came in for sharp criticism from several Democrats who accused him and the administration of mismanaging the war in Iraq and of deceiving the American public about its purpose and costs.

One of those critics, Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., bluntly told Rumsfeld that he had bungled the war effort and should quit.

"Secretary Rumsfeld, you know we are in serious trouble in Iraq," Kennedy said. "And this war has been consistently and grossly mismanaged. And we are now in a seemingly intractable quagmire. Our troops are dying, and there really is no end in sight.

"There have been a series of gross errors and mistakes," Kennedy continued. "Those were on your watch. Isn't it time for you to resign?"

"Senator," Rumsfeld replied. "I've offered my resignation to the president twice, and he has decided that he would prefer that he not accept it, and that's his call."

Another Democrat, Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia, told Rumsfeld to stop lecturing the committee and "get off your high horse when you come up here."

Rummy doesn't take crap from anyone. He shut him down hard! Would someone please ask Kennedy what his strategy for fighting terrorism is, he doesn't have one!

If Ted Kennedy was a real man he'd confess to murder, and if Bob "the Kleagle" Byrd was a real man he'd resign in shame for his racist activities, instead of trying to dress them up as boyhood pranks...If Dick Durbin were a man, he'd apologize (for real, not the namby-pamby "poor choice of words" apology) and resign...so wake up and smell the coffee, JB...These leftist dorks have no business lecturing anybody.

you must understand that most liberals are the useful idiots of the socialist order. also too much flag waving without brain engagement results in a negative patriotism. the goal of the elite is to always divide and conquer. as in inspecting a house or a car before you buy its what you don't know or see that you will eventually pay for. schools are no longer bastions of free thought and investigation but houses of indoctrination. students are not taught how to think but what to think. and the result is an America hating enclave that fails to note that without the millions, billions, trillions that we give away every day that most of the world would already have starved to death. Make no mistake I am no lover of bush politics as I see the only difference between him and the left is the speed and method of demise of the U.S.A. In the not to distant future I think each of us will be faced with a decision of where and how to stand that will result in a tumultuous uprising.
