Gaffney Prediction: President Will Back Down on Dubai Deal

The President has left himself an "out" on this dubious Dubai Port Deal. He says he didn't know about it until this week, despite the fact the Washington Times ran a column by Frank Gaffney, president of the Center for Security Policy, last Tuesday where he warned about this secret deal in a major metropolitan newspaper.

But before you castigate Bush, you should also know the national media was also clueless because they were all-consumed with the Cheney shooting non-story, remember? According to Rush Limbaugh, ABC's Ann Compton sheepishly admitted to WABC Radio's John Gambling earlier this week that she didn't know much about the UAE issue. Whoops!

In any event, Gaffney says the wave is against the President on this deal and he is best to pull a "Harriet Miers mistake" and withdraw it ASAP. If he needs any further reasons why this deal is bad for the country, he only needs to read Gaffney's latest column on National Review Online. Note, in particular, what a former employee of DPW wrote Gaffney!

Please read this or parts of Gaffney's column on the air!!!

I don't know about that. He's not up for election and he probably wants to keep his business ties with the Bin Laden family and all the Emerite States.
