Hillary's Hypocrisy

Democrats blast Cheney secrecy after shooting

Asked at a press conference for her reaction about how the White House has handled the incident, US Senator Hillary Clinton called the Bush administration's failure to be more forthcoming "troubling."

"A tendency of this administration -- from the top all the way to the bottom -- is to withhold information ... to refuse to be forthcoming about information that is of significance and relevance to the jobs that all of you do, and the interests of the American people," Clinton said.

"Putting it all together, going back years now, there's a pattern and it's a pattern that should be troubling," she said at a press conference calling for a more robust federal response to the Hurricane Katrina disaster.

The former first lady continued: "The refusal of this administration to level with the American people on matters large and small is very disturbing, because it goes counter to the way our constitutional democracy ... is supposed to work."

Isn't this ironic from the lady that wrote the book on not being forthcoming. Anyone remember the Rose Law Firm records that were missing for years or sitting on Vince Foster's Suicide note for 30hrs? Isn't this an example of the pot calling the kettle black?

I can't believe that you haven't picked up on the fact that this whole story is 180 degrees backwards. Harry Whittington walked into the VP's line of fire and got shot. It was Wittington's carelessness that got him injured. It's his spokeperson who should have made that announcement immediatley after it happened, not Cheney's office.

I understand why the liberal press is pointing their collective fingers only at Cheney, but why aren't you talking about who is really at fault here, Harry Wittington?

captain ron - you are hearing one side of the story and days after the fact. time enough to fabricate a story. cheny admitted he was drinking and i am sure he wasn't drunk - right! the man has many dui's and in texas i don't think it is legal to actually hunt without drinking. i used to live in texas and there used to be sporting goods and liquor stores together. maybe if cheney had reported the shooting when it happened we would know how drunk he really was.

Jeb,
Yes Hillary is looking better everyday, at least she wanted to give us free medical care instead of letting the drug and insurance companies rape us. I have a family and I pay $800 a month for insurance for my family and shrub's plan makes you have to get private insurance to qualify for government coverage - Hillary is looking better everyday....Viva Hillary!!!!

Hillary looking better? Oh, barf!

Cheney shot Wittington, who was promptly given medical care. Cheney may have been drunk; the liberals desperately want to believe he was drunk. Teddy (hic!) Kennedy left a girl slowly drowning while he sobered up. He couldn't notify the police that she was submerged and needed help, because that would have allowed them to discover that he had been driving drunk. Don't forget that Teddy was convicted in court over this little matter, though his family connections prevented the da from getting him for anything more than leaving the scene of an accident. Yes, that's old history, but the important point to note is that the liberals never expressed any outrage over the incident which ended in a young woman dying. Do I detect a double standard?
