Bush Says Deporting All Illegal Immigrants 'Unrealistic'

President Bush said Monday (April 24th) that the idea of kicking out all 11 million illegal immigrants in America isn't feasible, and that a more middle-ground solution needs to be found to deal with the issue. Speaking in California before an audience assembled by the Orange County Business Council, Bush said, "Massive deportation of the people here is unrealistic -- it's just not going to work."

Bush, who backs a guest worker program, is trying to walk a tightrope on the emotional issue between conservatives who want a crackdown on illegal immigration and the business community that wants the immigrants for jobs. He told the audience, "One thing we cannot lose sight of is that we're talking about human beings, decent human beings that need to be treated with respect."

We don't have to deport anyone. If the jobs snd benefits dry up they'll pack up and go back home.

We need to outlaw beer, beans and cramming 37 people into a 2 bedroom house. Then they will really be crossing the border to go back home.

I voted for Bush twice. Considering the alternatives, I guess I would do it again, but I am supremely disappointed in the man at this point in time. He seems incapable of having a lucid thought. I believe one could say that he is doing everything BUT attending to business. What a pity for our country.
