Local Fair Tax Rally a FLOP!

Pictures don't lie(from their own site) and neither does the OPD(they say 5,ooo)
*********************************************************************************
UPDATE 8/4/06
You'll notice I had to pull the image of the rally. They(the station with depends on it) had the photographer contact me and demand I take it down, claiming copyright violations. This shows you how petty they really are at the old folks home up the dial. They're determined to keep the failure of their rally a secret. They don't want you to know how embarrassingly low the turn out was. Will they do the right thing and offer advertisers a refund because they failed to deliver?
Tune in Monday morning to find out.
*********************************************************************************
A local radio station and a nationally syndicated host promised a crowd of 10,000. According to the Orlando Police Dept. the only got 5,000.

Organizers announced the crowd had reached 10,000 at Saturday's event on Orange Avenue in front of City Hall, but Orlando police estimated about half that.

I hope advertisers can get a refund. Their stations motto should be..."We under-deliver!"

There's only one AM in town that can deliver a crowd that size and you're listening to it 540WFLA.

P.S. I'd like to welcome a new listener to the show Steve Holbrook -Operations Director, Cox Radio, Inc.

City Hall is closed on Saturday. So no one in office is listening. HELLO!!!!

WDBO employs drunks and potheads, so it's no surprise to me that they couldn't pull the crowd. They give away most of the tickets to their events for free anyhow.

Re: Justin in Sanford

The photo I linked to is no longer on their site.

The OPD stands by their figure of 5,000.
