Excellent Choice!

This move is nothing short of brillant! The McCain camp has T-Boned Obama/Biden. As you know I am a huge fan of Sun Tzu he teaches about the element of surprise. Just last Friday I had Gary Gagliardi
from the Science of Strategy Institute on my show, here is what he had to say...

What VP Candidate would Sun Tzu Choose for McCain?
In Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, surprise has a very specific role. You use it at the right time to change momentum. Even when a standard move works, doing what is expected never changes momentum. For example, in the current presidential campaign, no attack on the opposition, no matter how effective, is going to change momentum because such attacks are expected. What kind of surprises could the candidates use? Well, McCain could come up with a surprising choice of VP candidate, which is why people are talking about the possible choice of Joe Lieberman. A Democrat on the Republican ticket would be surprising, but it also wouldn’t work because it violates the first rule of strategy that says that a team must share the same core philosophy and, beyond their agreement on national defense, McCain and Lieberman cannot agree. If surprise is the goal, McCain should choose Sarah Palin, the Republican governor of Alaska. She hasn’t gotten a lot of press, but what makes her so unusual is how attractive she is. This is a surprising image for any political candidate and even more so for a Republican. If I were McCain, I would announce this choice right before the Democrat convention so that all the Obama people could attack the choice of a beautify, intelligent, successful, woman (with more executive experience than either Obama, Biden or McCain combined) in front of all those Hillary supporters.

zclPC,
Who woulda thunk it...McCain making a brilliant pick for the VP position? Certainly not me. But, I am happily and pleasantly surprised!

I don't think there's been a time in recent history when a VP pick has been so noteworthy. Sara Palin was the shot in the arm that McCain needed to give to Conservatives.

While Romney would've been a great pick as well, I don't think his core beliefs are as solid as Palin's. At first blush, she seems to be closer to a Reagan Conservative than anybody else I've seen on the national stage.

Then, there are the intangibles. Such as the way Palin exudes her womanhood vs. that of Clinton, Pelosi, Boxer, Michelle Obama, Barney Frank (!) and the other windbags on the left. Oh, it is rich! Indeed, it is the stuff of dreams!

PC...man, do we miss you on the Orlando airwaves! Hope all is going well for you and your family since your move to Tulsa. Thanks for maintaining your blog. I love your posts.

Regards,
Ron In Viera

For the past 8 years the Republican Partys strategy has been to keep us in a constant state of fear. Yeah, now I am really petrified. Mccains age is now the issue. He doesn't know the difference between Sunni and Shia. I wonder if she can find Iraq on a map? McCain has had 4 bouts of cancer. I can't imagine this woman as commander-in-chief. If the Republicans think she will get Hillary votes, I doubt it. She is the opposite of all Hillary has fought for as a Democrat and a US Senator. Can't wait to see her debate Joe Biden.

What's her stand on illegal immigration? At least with Romney we knew that. Don't think there are too many Mexican illegals roofing houses, landscaping, stealing identities and falsifying documents in Alaska. We have Amnesty Juan McCain with Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham taking turns driving the "straight talk express" and Juan Hernandez bouncing around in the back of the bus, just waiting to be unleashed. I read where she believes global warming is a hoax, and wants to drill for oil and gas in Alaska; but no stance at all on one of the top issues illegal immigration. Meechelle Obama said in a speech at the convention, they would bring 12M illegals out of the shadows, and on the path to citizenship. We know Juan McCain would like to do the same. WHAT IS HER STANCE? I don't care if his VP pick is white, black, chinese, puerto rican, female, morphodite, whatever.. Give me a list of her pro and con opinions on current event issues, before I decide whether it was a good choice for the country, or a con job to pick up Democrat voters who are disgusted having Obama as their candidate. This Republican might just stay home on election day, and let the Dem's elect McCain. At least he didn't pick another Senator or a lawyer as his VP. She can at least iron his shirts in morning, since Cindy has a cast on her wrist from an aggresive handshake. (that's a pun..)

I'm sure she could be an excellent Vice President, but can she cook?

Well this sure counters his Napolean syndrome. Bring in a little 5 foot tall woman as his candidate, than he looks like a big man maverik. Romney would have towered over him as a VP, and magnified his true character, as the angry little guy, with an uncontrollable temper, that has something to prove. This deflects that, for how long?

At one time I leaned toward McCain because he was all the Republicans could come up with. Now I'm not going to vote. He must be in the early stages of Alzheimers to think of this totally unqualified person as a VP choice. This shows how desperate he is. Perhaps the GOP should stand in the corner for the next 4 years. Don't worry the Democrats will have their chance to screw up.

As a Republican, I have no idea whom this woman is. Ted Nuggent might have been a better choice, as far as I'm concerned. When McCain has his closest allies as Lindsey Graham, and Joe Lieberman, I doubt she is a true conservative choice for VP.

Here we go again.... Voting for the lesser of two evils, not for change.. What's the choice? Obama the lawyer and Senator... with VP Biden the lawyer and Senator.. As a Vietnam era drafted vet, I read today Biden received 5 deferments from the draft, because he was in college, and was finally exempt because he had asthma as a teenager... But yet he played football in college?.. Must have been tough with that inhaler, you whimp.. Give me a break. The two of them sound more like lieing lawyer slimeballs.. Sounds like your a draft dodger, Honorbable.. Biden. At least McCain had the ball's to serve his country, instead of hiding behind a scholarship. I personally served my time and gave up an apprentiship, a career as an electrician; I was too old after my tour of duty, and no longer qualified for the apprentiship offer. (probably filled it with an illegal, while I serving my country)

So here we are, the Dumb or Dumber election of the century.. Do I vote for the dumbass's or dumber asses? The half white and half black guy or, the beauty and the beast, because we are making history?

This is America, Democracy? Not what I used to know...

Not one of these candidates are addressing any issues, that are in the best interests of America.

Give me a Dick Cheney and maybe VP Jeb Bush ticket, and I might vote again.

Oh yeah, brilliant pick! Today 1 September she announces her 17 year old daughter is pregnant. A true family values ticket we have here. I think you blew it with this candidate.

since the announcement, the revelations about her daughter, etc. have done nothing but make seem just like a large part of our society. imperfect but still worthy.

lack of experience? since when is the senate a training ground for competence?

this is a home run and biden should be quaking in his ( ).

First, let me say "what a surprise it was to be awakened on Sunday morning by the lilting tones of Pat Campbell again on the Florida airwaves! I could not believe my ears. Welcome back, if only for a visit once a week. I hope you have found a nitch you are comfortable in in Tulsa, and that your family is prospering. Florida's loss is definitely Oklahoma's gain.

Well, she smoked marijuana, her underage daughter is pregnant, her husband has a DUI arrest record....but she IS a Christian! Wow I guess that since she is a Christian it really doesn't matter what you do because no matter what, you go to heaven. And while Obama was out working as an evil community organizer she was out competing in beauty contests. Fuuny thing, while the Republicans condemned community service there were huge signs all over the place that read "SERVICE".

Sarah Palin both have more class in their pinky fingers than Michelle Hussein Obama. Oh yes, I forgot, as you said, at least Michelle looks better when she smiles. She should smile a whole darn'd lot, then.

Well now that it is all over and Obama won, he can laugh his way to the White House. Instead of mocking him for being a community organizer, the Republicans should have taken a few tips on campaign management. Let's face it, McCain ran a really sh---y campaign. Sarah Palin was a horrible VP choice and he lost and took down the Republican party with him.
