Many Rioters Were From Detroit

Our sister station 1370AM WSPD in Toledo, OH is reporting...

Several of the 114 persons arrested during Saturday's rioting on the north side were from Detroit gangs who came to Toledo to cause trouble, and they were in court, charged with a series of offenses, including aggravated rioting and assaulting police Monday morning. Members of the Nazi delegation were not arrested because they left the city after their march against black gangs was cancelled, after being told they would be arrested if they did not get out of town. Toledo Police Chief Mike Navarre says if the Nazi party trys to return to Toledo for a march or demonstration it will be on the cities terms. Navarre says the city will go to court to prevent the party from demonstating in a neighborhood and his officers had no choice but to arrest persons who broke the law in their presence Saturday , many of them by assaulting the officers.

I'll be joined by Luke Shockman of the Toledo Blade to talk about the riot. Also, latter in the program Fred Lefebvre afternoon talk show host at WSPD joins me to share local reaction.

If the police would have been doing their job in the first place they would not have had a black gang problem in Toledo and the NAZIs would not have shown up. The mayor is also up for re-election in Nov. and does not want to make waves with the black population. Make sure you get the whole story on this mess.
