Boy Shot At School Had Modified Pellet Gun

It looks pretty REAL to me. If I didn't know better I'd say that's a 9mm Beretta.

Local6 is reporting...
LONGWOOD, Fla. -- A suicidal eighth-grader who briefly took another child hostage before being shot on a school campus by a sheriff's SWAT team member Friday was holding a modified pellet gun, officials said Friday.
Just sit back and watch America's favorite passtime, second guessing the cops, begin!

Student was bullies' target
Chris Penley is quiet and has a tough time at school, some say.

The teen returned to Milwee two weeks ago. He left last spring after he threatened to blow up a school bus and everyone on it, said Adrianne Medlock, who also is a school-district employee.

She said a student on the bus was bullying him, and Chris had had enough. He was disciplined by the district and forced out of school for two or three weeks. He enrolled at Rays of Hope Charter School in Sanford, she said.

This is exactly why kids should be told whenever they encounter a bully that will not stop, they should just hit the bully right in the face, as hard as they can as fast as they can. If this happens every time the bully starts with someone he will quickly change his ways.

Oh boy! I just heard Nation on your show.
And I noticed two things right away:
A. ''I don't know where the reports of him being suicidal come from''
Um, HELLO! LOCAL6.COM!!! same place where both you and I found the pic of 'the pellet gun'. And posted it to our own blogs.
B. ''No one has said anything about a lawsuit''. (well, until now). I've heard his ads. He advertises quite a bit on the radio. How does an attourney PAY for all those ads? OH WOW! as I'm writing this one of Mr. Nation's ads is playing on 540!!! HMMMM...

Are there no more Andy Taylors left in the World. The terrorist have won on yet another front of American life. We don't have any compasion for ANYONE who might tried to hurt us. Even our own kids. Thats sad.
I knew some wwii vets that would have thrown down their weapon and risked their own life trying to talk this kid out of hurting himself or anyone else. This would be your typical american. And if he was wrong then he still tried as an american who believed in our kids. Like we use too. If he were wrong, and did die trying, then he would be an american hero. We use to have a big place in our hearts for heros. But there are none on this one
