As a U.S. Senator with, by definition, too much time on his hands, Ted Kennedy also branches out as a children's book author. His new opus "My Senator and Me: A Dogs-Eye View of Washington, D.C." will recount a day in the life of a Senator as seen through the eyes of a dog -- you can thank us later for stating the obvious so competently -- who incidentally happens to tread at the same level that politicians operate at. This latest literary effort proves that if done tastefully, a book written by a guy who looks like a Dutch sex offender on holidays in Thailand, can successfully capture the imagination of young children with an early predilection for civic duty.Sen.
