Richard Miniter stops by the PC Show to discuss the Muslim cartoon fury

As reported earlier today, Muslim cartoon fury claims lives.

At least five people have been killed in Afghanistan as demonstrations against cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad swept across the country.

Richard Miniter, terrorism expert, New York Times besteller and author of DISINFORMATION: 22 Media Myths that Undermind the War on Terror comments on the Muslim cartoon fury...

MINITER MAKES THE FOLLOWING INFORMED OBSERVATIONS REGARING THE MUSLIM CARTOON CRAZE:

The Three Fake Cartoons
"In addition to the 12 cartoons published by the Danish newspaper, radical Islamists apparently created three fake cartoons of their own -- designed to be especially offensive to Muslim sensibilities -- and falsely claimed that these were published by the Danish press,” reports Richard Miniter. “Of course they are guilty of exactly what they are criticizing the Danish press for -- and guilty of more; a desire to enrage and to provoke violence, mayhem and murder around the world."

The Cowardly French

"The giant continent-wide French-owned supermarket chain, Carrefour, recently posted signs in English, Arabic and French in all of their stores worldwide saying that they have taken all Danish products of their shelves. They are basically appeasing radical Muslim opinion and begging not to have their stores burned down. Plus ca change...(the more things change...)."

The Cowardly American Press

"As I know from personal experience, the editors at the Danish Newspaper that published the now famous cartoons, Jyllands Posten, and they are polite verging on politically correct center-left journalists,” says Miniter. “This would be the equivalent of the Muslim world suddenly becoming enraged at Tom Toles' cartoon in the Washington Post. But of course, most American readers will never see these cartoons because American editors are even more fearful of offending radical Islam than the politically correct editors of the Danish press.”
