Ode to Katie
Since becoming co-host of NBC's Today in April 1991, Katie Couric has often used her perch to salute her liberal heroes (including Hillary Clinton and Jimmy Carter) or complain about "right-wing conservatives." In her years on Today, She's lectured Charlton Heston about the need for gun control, championed the need for campaign finance "reform," and even touted the wonders of France's nanny state. Soon Katie will turn CBS's number 3 into a number one......ahead of NBC and ABC. I'd rather look at her for a half hour than the others.
Katie who? Never heard of this woman. I get all the news I need to know from Debbie Schlusse in the mornings, and Gretta Van Suskrin at night, when I want to know the lastest on Nattilee Holloway, and the Duke rapists. Nothing else is important in my life. Oh, Did anybody hear anything about a midget rapist on the loose? Did they catch him? Sally
