No Economic Impact? Say it ain't so, Joe!

Didn't get the memo!

Next time your city is being extorted by your local sports franchises for new ballparks and arenas, remember this: the Seattle Supersonics, in attempting to get out of their lease so they can move to Oklahoma City, are making the argument that they have no economic impact on the city. Isn't the argument in favor of taxpayer funding for ballparks that having the team in town brings money into the area? Finally, a team ADMITS that it's all bull.

I'm going to tick off a lot of people, but I gotta say it. Bringing pro basketball to this formerly family oriented city was the first mistake. Which I personally believe added to the crime problem. When the previous mayor was pushing for a pro baseball team, made more sense (even though I don't follow pro sports) All of a sudden we wind up with Basketball... This cities turning into another Chicago. The Orlando Sentinel is now ran by the Chicago tribune. Just watch the nightly 10:00PM Chicago News. We have the same liberal slant in our newspaper. Our politician's in Orlando appear to be just as corrupt as the ones in Chicago, and the same crimes are going on there. Heck with this light rail! Do it right.. bring in some Mexican's to dig and lets put in underground subways, like Chicago and NYC.

Mayorial elections.

We have Buddy running as Democrat. Ken Mulvene from England running as a Republican, for the second time. Ken, have you ever heard the old saying "your pissing in the wind?" Buddy, (that's Ken. my buddy)... Your throwing your money down a hole. In the town of Orlando, there are no Republican's. That's why we have the corrupt city council now. Who do you think votes in Orlando? Republican's, or the likes of people who voted in Diasy Lynum, Dyer, and the other corrupt politicians in this town. It's a culture here. May I suggest you get out of Orlando, head to Seminole County which a majority registered Republican's. Have a Ginness on me! Stop pissing in the wind!
