New pope a conservative who divided Germans

TRAUNSTEIN, Germany - A man of deep personal faith who choked up as he delivered the homily at Pope John Paul II’s funeral, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger also has alienated some Roman Catholics with his zeal in enforcing church orthodoxy.

And on those issues, the new Pope Benedict XVI is immovable. SWEET!

A most excellent choice! For too long, there has been a movement in the American Catholic community, to tilt like a see-saw with a fat kid on one side toward leftist agendas. When I go to mass, I want to feel as if a bolt of lightning is about to hit me in the side of the head. The fear of God is something which is lacking in the modern world. I am waiting to see how soon the media will begin to interview African's and Latino's in an attempt to further divide the church along racial lines; another chance to portray, dare I say, white men as the "Great Satan" of the Earth. A great orthodox Rottweiller - Woof! Woof! (I never have liked a lap dog.)
