Medical examination finished on Jessica Lunsford's body

Nearly three months after they began examining Jessica Lunsford's body to determine what may have been happening to her during the last hours of her life, medical examiners have given their final results to the state.

The Medical Examiner's Office in Leesburg announced Tuesday it had completed the examination, which had been waiting on final toxicology results for the 9-year-old Homosassa girl investigators say was kidnapped and murdered by convicted sex offender John Couey. A spokeswoman at the office said the State Attorney's Office has asked her office to not discuss the results.
