Orange County Superintendent Ron Blocker Joins Me At 7:05AM Wednesday Morning

We'll be talking about the FCAT's and Jones High School.

In Orange County, administrators cheered the success of one of their struggling high schools, Evans High, which crawled its way up to a D grade after two recent F's.

But they were upset to learn that Jones and Oak Ridge highs had repeated their F grades from 2004, and that two elementaries -- Grand Avenue and Ivey Lane -- also posted failing grades.

Jones is one of just two schools in Florida to have earned four F's in a row.

Jones and Oak Ridge are among 15 schools statewide that, because of repeat F grades, must offer their students transfers to better-performing public schools or tuition vouchers to private schools.
