Vatican affirms ban on gay priests

Is the Pope scapegoating gay clergy?

VATICAN CITY - The Vatican on Tuesday published its long-awaited document on gays in the priesthood, saying that men with “deep-seated” gay tendencies shouldn’t be ordained but that those with “transitory” tendencies could be if they had overcome them for three years.

Michael Rose author of "BENEDICT XVI: The Man Who Was Ratzinger" and "Goodbye, Good Men" stops by the PC Show to discuss this development & it's implications.

This is only meaningless, official, public policy. Those clerics, both perverts and straights, who engage in victimizing easily-manipulated adults and children will continue to be tolerated, if they can engage in their activities without bringing unwelcome, negative publicity upon the Roman Catholic Denomination. It's all about looking good; actually being good is something with which the RCD has not concerned itself for many centuries.

If they keep it up there won't be any priests at all. Hmmmmm.

If a man of God is supposed to be celebite, then what in the world are his hormones supposed to do. It almost sounds to me like, occupasional hazzard. I kidd though, if he be a true man of God then the question never arises. Have we lost our faith?

I reviewed the document, and already a number of loop wholes have been pointed out by some liberal bishops. There was a document that banned sodomites in 1961 under Pope John XXIII, but as you can see that was not enforced well. The Holy Father, as having universal jurisdiction over the Catholic Church must wake up and appoint orthodox Catholic priests as bishops and tell the heterodox priests to take a hike. How someone can call Pope John Paul II, "Great," a extremely rare title given to Saints is beyond me. Here in Florida he appointed two bishops in a row in Palm Beach I believe that were both sodomites and were later removed from the diocese. This on top of Bishop Dorsey --- a bishop that apologized to homosexuals in 1998 during a "Gay Days Mass" over the Catholic Church's doctrine on sodomy. He later tried giving Sts. Peter & Paul parish a sodomite pastor, but Bishop Wenski (not as liberal as Dorsey on certain items) wouldn't allow it. Not only this, and of a late, a whistleblower priest has accused Cardinal McCarrick of Washington of sleeping with seminarians. The Church is a mess and modern day saints like St. Francis and St. Athanasius need to arise to rid the garbage of this diocese and in just about every diocese that exists today. Pat, you had Michael Rose on your show, I didn't get to hear it, but he also has a very good book out called "Ugly As Sin" that details how these very same bishops are wrecking Catholic parishes of their artwork, altars, etc. and turning them into abstract places that one wouldn't even think of it as being a church! Sad, but indeed, true.
