Passenger Who Made Threat Shot, Killed At Airport

WFTV is reporting...

MIAMI -- A passenger who claimed to have a bomb in a carryon bag was shot and killed by a federal air marshal Wednesday on a jetway connected to an American Airlines plane that had just arrived at Miami International Airport from Colombia, officials said.

The man's name was not immediately released. He was a 44-year-old United States citizen, said Homeland Security Department spokeswoman.

A passenger on the flight, Mary Gardner, told WTVJ-TV, that she saw a man running "frantically" up the plane's aisle before he was shot. A woman, apparently the man's wife, said he suffered from bipolar disorder and had not taken his medication, Gardner said.

Gardner said four to five shots were fired.

Pat you had your buddy Doug Hagmann on to discuss this. Honestly is that guy on drugs or alcohol? His speech was slurred, incoherant, and he rambled on and on. Play the tape again. He was so out of it that he couldn't even come up with some off the wall conspiricy theory.
