A License To Panhandle?

Is this a solution for Downtown Orlando?

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- People who beg in Buffalo might someday have to have a license and ID tags.

With more residents and business owners complaining about aggressive panhandlers, city officials are considering ways to curb begging.

One City Council member said a license application for panhandling in public places is a possibility. Under that plan, beggars would have to submit basic information about themselves and wear identification tags when they're soliciting.

Some interesting poll results...
Do you give money or food to panhandlers?

Choice Votes Percentage of 7204 Votes
*I give them money. 1047 15%
*I give them food. 430 6%
*I give them money and food. 324 4%
*No, I don't give them anything. 5403 75%

We already have that in Kissimmee. You must go to city hall to get a permit otherwise you will be arrested for panhandling.

My daughter just spent a week in Miami with her fiance's family. She said nobody speaks English there; and there are bars on everybody's windows, including the garage doors. In Miami they wear bright yellow shirts that say "homeless" on them, and walk up to your car, rubbing their fingers, like give me money.. They went to a Miami Heat game, and forgot where they parked the car. Looking for the car she said there were homeless people in sleeping bags all over the sidewalks. Out of her mouth I hear her telling mom, "It was like being in a third world country". Buckle up Kissimmee/Orlando, your third world status is coming real soon! Let's see how long Jeb lasts, before he emigrates to another part of FL or the USA.
