Discovery Health :: Episode :: Half Ton Man
This is the story I watched on Discovery Health last night. It was one of the most disturbing programs I've ever watched

I give the guy credit. HOWEVER, how does one let themself get THAT FAT before getting something done about it? For me that point would be 150 (not including anything related to pregnancy) and I am 125 now. So 25 pounds more than what I want. At 135 I start to do my own nutritional and exercies changes. At 140 I get worried. At 150 I'm in the doctor's office. So what is the thinking of someone who's 350, 400, 500, 600....1,000 pounds? Is denial (a river in Egypt) even possible?
I saw this story (or one very much like it) on tv about six weeks ago. After the narrator said that the overweight man was unable to get out of bed, my first thought is that the person who brings him food must not care much for him. If someone I loved was too fat to go to the refrigerator, I'd say, "I guess you'll just need to fast for a couple of weeks until you're light enough to go get your own food."
