Dubai Ports participating in U.S. security plan

Remember the quiet discussion we all had when Dubai Ports World was going to operate our ports? Well guess what: They're baaaaaaack!

The Fox In Charge Of The Hen House

WASHINGTON - Dubai Ports World, the Arab-owned firm whose purchase of American port facilities caused a U.S. political uproar, will join a program aimed at stopping nuclear weapons being smuggled into the United States, sources familiar with the agreement said on Thursday.

The program would involve screening U.S.-bound cargo for radiation at more than half a dozen ports including in Britain, Honduras, Oman and South Korea, sources said.

Dubai Ports World is among several international shipping and port operators chosen for the screening program mandated by the Safe Accountability for Every Port Act of 2006, legislation that resulted from the Dubai Ports controversy.

Do you trust them to properly screen cargo bond for the U.S.? I don't!

Why don't we contract with Dubai Produce World, to inspect and screen the produce (green onions, spinach, etc.) from CA, since the FDA does not appear to have the ability to do it. Maybe the FDA personel are to busy screening porn, and playing grab ass all day. like the OPD...

Speaking of screening... My son flew to DC from OIA the week before Thanksgiving, with his lacrosse team. That's approx 22 players. He said security was a joke (which was level 1 max). They carried on pocket knives, scissors, screwdrivers; to work on their equipment on the plane. One kid had 5 pocket knives, and one with about a 7 inch blade. How about we contract with Dubai Airline Super Security World, A-S World, to replace the TSA?

"In Allah We Trust"..
