3 Keys to Winning in Iraq

Eliminate "Toxic" people from your life!

It's Jack Canfield again...with one of the most important Mentorship lessons I have yet to send you. It's something high achievers have known throughout history... That is...surround yourself with positive people.

If you think about it, there are people you meet in life who are positive, nurturing and uplifting. These are people who believe in you, encourage you and applaud your victories. Contrast that with "toxic" people -- the dream-stealers, the negative ones, the people who bring tension, stress and disorder to your day.

Stop spending time with toxic people! And work hard to bring more positive, successful types into your life.

There's a valuable exercise my own mentor W. Clement Stone taught me. Make a list of everyone you spend time with, then put a plus sign (+) next to the positive ones and a minus sign (-) next to the toxic ones. You'll probably see a pattern begin to form.

Perhaps your entire workplace is filled with toxic people. Wow...what a revelation. Or perhaps your friends and family are constant nay-sayers, belittling you and undermining your self-esteem. Take steps now to either decrease the amount of time you spend with these toxic folks or set appropriate boundaries in how they relate to you.

To surround yourself with hundreds of other successful folks -- possibility-thinkers from around the world all studying and following The Success Principles in their lives -- consider attending one my powerful transformational trainings or international success symposiums. Visit Jack's site for details.

Anderson Cooper sets up Tancredo

Congressman Tancredo was on Anderson Cooper on CNN Friday night talking about refugee status for Iraqis when this set up occured.

LEKOVIC: Well, that's just a part of the picture: 7,000 is a very paltry number. And we can't forget the fact here that there are people involved. There are people whose lives have been devastated. We have promised that we would save -- we would rescue them from malnutrition, from mayhem, from murder.

And that is precisely what they are facing every day and why they are leaving the country in large droves.

Congressman Tancredo is the same man who a few years ago said that we should consider taking out Mecca in order to send a message to the terrorists. So...

TANCREDO: Whoa -- that is absolutely...

LEKOVIC: ... this gentleman is not the man to be...

TANCREDO: You have no respect, ma'am, because you would say a thing like that.

LEKOVIC: ... discussing this type of problem to preserve all human life.

TANCREDO: Well, that is absolutely untrue that I said we should take out Mecca in order to send a message.

LEKOVIC: Sir, you said we should consider it.

TANCREDO: It was never to, quote, "send a message." And that is an entirely inaccurate way...

LEKOVIC: Sir, did you say that we should consider taking out Mecca? TANCREDO: What I said was, well, do you want to fight that battle again? I'm happy to. But what I'm telling you is what you just said is not only inaccurate, but I think it's disingenuous.

COOPER: Well, as always, we care about the facts on 360. We checked the transcript of Congressman Tancredo's interview with talk show host Pat Campbell.

When asked how he would respond if terrorists struck several U.S. cities with nuclear weapons, he said, quote, "If this happens in the United States and we determined that it is the result of extremist fundamentalist Muslims, you know, you could take out their holy sites."

Campbell said, "You're talking about bombing Mecca?"

And Tancredo responded, "Yes."

Here's the e-mail I sent to Tancredo's Press Secretary...
Carlos Espinosa,

Please tell Congressman Tancredo that I had nothing to do with Anderson Cooper's hit piece Friday night. Cooper lied! They never confirmed anything with me. We don't furnish transcripts of my show and CNN did not have permission to use our audio. This was clearly a planned setup, taking the congressman's words out of context and not allowing him to respond. CNN's agenda is quite clear, sink Tancredo. I would love to get the congressman back on the show to talk about this story next week. Let me know what we can do. Thanks in advance!

Lou Dobbs unloads on the Catholic Church

The Roman Catholic Church once again putting itself in the center of a debate over amnesty for illegal aliens. Church leaders in California during Ash Wednesday services called for Catholics to commit themselves to quote, "immigration reform".

In Los Angeles, Cardinal Roger Mahoney told parishioners, quote, "They are innocence impacted by an unjust system that has failed and will continue to fail them and our society until true comprehensive reform is passed by Congress and the president."

Another California bishop called for his parishioners to dedicate a day of fasting during Lent to immigration reform.

Ah, the good Cardinal Mahoney again. A pious man, I'm sure. But his heart rests with those who violate American borders and laws, and not with law-abiding citizens of this great nation, which, by the way, permits him the freedom to put his interests in filling his pews with good Catholics who are here illegally ahead the laws of this land and our national interest.

It's interesting that the good cardinal and his fellow enthusiast for the illegals of Latin American, bishop Jamie Hosoto (ph), say that Lent is the appropriate time for their parishioners of Los Angeles to fill out cards and send them to Congress calling for immigration reform.

Now to me, that seems just a little bit outside the spirit of the Church and Lent. It seems, actually, a bit secular,in fact. Lent is a time, after all, for Catholics to sacrifice. But these two leaders in southern California apparently think sacrifice should be born by all American citizens of every and no faith.

The good cardinal and bishop seem to be enthusiastic about the idea of all of us giving up our national sovereignty for Lent. How's that for sacrifice?

Dobbs is right! These guys are on the wrong side of the fence. This is a social justice issue. If Mahoney really cared about the new members of his flock he'd be calling for a crack down on US employers that are exploiting the illegals.

New York Diocese Cancels McAuliffe Catholic School Talk after Pro-Abortion Remarks

SYRACUSE, New York, February 23, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse canceled a planned appearance by Terry McAuliffe, key supporter of U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, at his old Catholic high school, after discovering he made pro-abortion comments earlier this year in a radio interview.

The chairman of Sen. Clinton’s presidential campaign, McAuliffe was scheduled to give a presentation at Bishop Ludden High School in Syracuse Feb. 24, on his recently-published memoirs What a Party! My Life Among Democrats: Presidents, Candidates, Donors, Activists, Alligators and Other Wild Animals.

Looks like Terry lied to me during the interview last Friday. He told me everyone was aware of his pro-choice stance, even the Pope. Looks like the Bishop in the diocese where Terry went to High School didn't get the memo.

Hillary Shaves Head to Grab Limelight from Obama

(2007-02-20) — Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, whose presidential campaign has been overshadowed in recent weeks by charismatic rival Sen. Barack Obama, D-IL, today walked into a K-Street beauty salon in Washington, D.C., commandeered the clippers and shaved her head down to the bare skin.

“If Britney Spears can milk a week’s worth of top headlines from this trivial act, so can I,” said a visibly-agitated Mrs. Clinton, who, as it turns out, has “magnificent head shape,” according to the stylist on duty.

The candidate said she has not ruled out visits to tattoo and piercing parlors, and will do “whatever it takes.”

“I’m in, and I’m in to win,” she said. “The American voters can now see that I have much a larger cranium than Sen. Obama, and I think they’ll draw their own conclusions.”

Hey! It could happen! Hat Tip to Scrappleface.

Transcript of my Friday appearance on the Hugh Hewitt show.

HH: What a pleasure now to welcome to the Hugh Hewitt Show a friend of mine on the airwaves, Pat Campbell. Pat is the morning drive guy in Orlando. He’s been at AM540 for a few years. He booms out every morning great good news. He’s one of the pros in our business. Pat, good to talk to you.

PC: Always a pleasure to be on your program, Hugh. I’m honored.

HH: Well Pat, I thought of you immediately when I played on the show yesterday Ric Keller, we’re now calling him Lawn Boy Ric Keller, or Ric Runs Like A Deere Keller, we played that, and I said where is this guy from, I’ve never heard of him, and I don’t mind time-serving back benchers, Pat, but he’s your Congressman.

PC: He is, he is, and the lawnmower analogy is certainly one that’s going to go down in the history books. Our listeners, who really are Ric Keller’s voting base here in Orlando, are livid. They’re calling him Benedict Arnold. I don’t know what’s going on with him. It’s one thing…he’s expressed these views before on the radio, but to actually go on the floor of the House and be one of the traitorous 12 as they were initially…I’m hearing, Hugh, they’re up to 17 now? Is that correct?

HH: 17 total.

PC: 17 total. It just blows my mind, and he is, he is undermining the President, he’s demoralizing the troops, he’s giving aid and comfort to the enemy, he has committed, if I’m to believe my listeners who are, like I said, absolutely livid, he’s committed political suicide. I mean, caller after caller not only to my show, but our afternoon host, Bud Hedinger as well, you know, not only do they regret the fact that they voted for him in the past, but they’ll never vote for him again.

Hillary: Roadmap Out Of Iraq

The fallout from the Terry McAuliffe interview continues...

Just seeing his picture reminds me of this great quote from Animal Farm:
“All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.”
George Orwell

HotAir is reporting with audio...
Orlando radio talk show host Pat Campbell had the chance to interview former DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe and current failure who is now working on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Pat immediately pressed Terry, who claims to be a Catholic, but is very pro-abortion. The best part of the interview, though, was Pat trying to get to the bottom of a land deal where McAuliffe invested $100 and got back $2.45 million.

Some people have e-mailed me claiming this was clearly an ambush and that I owe McAuliffe an apology.

I had more shady dealings I didn't have time to get to.

Fresh from this triumph, McAuliffe approached Moore with a new proposal. He asked Moore to dip into the pension fund one more time for $6 million so that he could purchase a parcel of land south of Orlando called Country Run, which McAuliffe planned to subdivide into 500 single-family homes. Moore obliged and loaned McAuliffe the money. The development soon proved to be a bust. Only half the homes were built and many of them didn't sell. Years passed, but McAuliffe never bothered to make a single payment to the pension fund on the loan. According to Labor Department records, McAuliffe was in default from December 1992 through October 1997. The managers of the pension fund never demanded payment or called in the loan. The only collateral they had required was the nearly worthless Country Run property itself.

Official: Erie collar-bomb case solved

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Federal authorities have figured out how a pizza deliveryman wound up in the middle of a bizarre bank robbery scheme that ended with a bomb around his neck exploding, and the identities of the plotters, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

Brian Wells, 46, robbed a suburban Erie bank on Aug. 28, 2003, with the bomb attached to his neck and then was killed when it exploded as he sat handcuffed in a parking lot while police waited for a bomb squad.

No one was charged as authorities struggled to determine who was behind the plot and whether Wells was an innocent victim or willing participant.

But the case has been solved and indictments are expected, likely by next month, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan was to make an official announcement at a Friday afternoon news conference.

The law enforcement official told the AP that Buchanan would not disclose what the investigators concluded, but would say that the government is confident they know how and why Wells died.

"The government knows what happened the day of the incident. We know all the details that led up to the death of Brian Wells and all the parties involved," the official said.

Gun Grabbers Gone Wild

In the wake of the Philadelphia shooting, Rep. Carthy (D-umbassNY) wants to ban guns completely different than the gun used in the shooting. Bonus: She refers to a semiautomatic pistol as an "AK-47 assault rifle"

Vincent J. Dortch, 44, of Newark, Del., brought two handguns to a Monday night meeting he had organized under the pretense that he had another investor who wanted in on the venture, authorities said.

She'd be the perfect VP for Rudy!

Chris Horner joined me Friday to promote new book, "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming".

From the Inside Flap
"Global warming":
the Left's last best chance to gain a stranglehold on our political system and economy

For decades, environmentalism has been the Left's best excuse for increasing government control over our actions in ways both large and small. It's for Mother Earth! It's for the children! It's for the whales! But until now, the doomsday-scenario environmental scares they've trumped up haven't been large enough to justify the lifestyle restrictions they want to impose. With global warming, however, greenhouse gasbags can argue that auto emissions in Ohio threaten people in Paris, and that only "global governance" (Jacques Chirac's words) can tackle such problems.

Now, in The Politically Incorrect Guide(tm) to Global Warming and Environmentalism, Christopher C. Horner tears the cover off the Left's manipulation of environmental issues for political purposes--and lays out incontrovertible evidence for the fact that catastrophic man-made global warming is just more Chicken-Little hysteria, not actual science. He explains why, although Al Gore and his cronies among the media elites and UN globalists endlessly bleat that "global warming" is an unprecedented global crisis, they really think of it as a dream come true. It's the ideal scare campaign for those who hate capitalism and love big government. For, as Horner explains, if global warming really were as bad as the Leftist doomsayers insist it is, then no policy imaginable could "solve" it. According to the logic of the greens' own numbers, no matter how much we sacrifice there would still be more to do. That makes global warming the bottomless well of excuses for the relentless growth of big government.

Horner (an attorney and senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute) reveals the full anti-American, anti-capitalist, and anti-human agenda of today's environmentalists, dubbing them "green on the outside, red to the core." He details how they use strong-arm legal tactics--and worse--against those who dare to point out the weakness of their arguments for global warming. Along the way, he explodes ten top global warming myths, carefully examining the evidence to determine how much warming there really is and what is actually causing it. He exposes the lies that the environmental lobby routinely tells to make its case; the ways in which it is trying to impose initiatives such as the Kyoto Protocol on an unwilling American public; and much more--including the green lobby's favorite politicians (John Kerry, John McCain, Joe Lieberman, and others).

It's time to stand up to the environmentalist industry and insist: human beings are not the enemy. In breezy, light-hearted, and always entertaining fashion, The Politically Incorrect Guide(tm) to Global Warming and Environmentalism gives you the facts you need to do so.

Death Certificates on Abortions Proposed

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Legislation introduced in Tennessee would require death certificates for aborted fetuses, which likely would create public records identifying women who have abortions.

Rep. Stacey Campfield, a Republican, said his bill would provide a way to track how many abortions are performed. He predicted it would pass in the Republican-controlled Senate but would have a hard time making it through the Democratic House.

"All these people who say they are pro-life _ at least we would see how many lives are being ended out there by abortions," said Campfield.

The number of abortions reported to the state Office of Vital Records is already publicly available. The office collects records _ but not death certificates _ on abortions and the deaths of fetuses after 22 weeks gestation or weighing about 1 pound.

The identities of the women who have abortions are not included in those records, but death certificates include identifying information such as Social Security numbers.

Campfield's bill, introduced Monday, would give abortion providers 10 days following an "induced termination of a pregnancy" to file a death certificate.

House Judiciary Chairman Rob Briley, a Democrat, called Campfield's proposal "the most preposterous bill I've seen" in an eight-year legislative career.

"It is totally inconsistent with everything the law contemplates as it relates to anything close to that subject," he said.

The anti-abortion group Tennessee Right to Life has not yet taken a position on the death certificate bill, said spokeswoman Myra Simons. But she said the organization applauds the sponsors' efforts to "draw attention to the way abortion is handled in Tennessee."

Keri Adams, vice president of Planned Parenthood in Tennessee, on Wednesday called the proposal an attempt to terrorize frightened and vulnerable women who are seeking abortion.

"We certainly hope the Tennessee Legislature doesn't invest too much energy in this bill," she said. "We think it's clearly a violation of privacy, and potentially illegal concerning HIPAA regulations."

"The Secret" Part 1

"The Secret" Part 2

"The Secret" Part 4

How Much is that Doggie on the Menu?(Sad!)

A villager prepares to butcher a dog in the Pampanga province north of Manila, Despite a ban on slaughtering dogs.

The old Patti Page song How Much is That Doggie in the Window? takes on a different meaning in a country where dogs are sold not only to guard a sweetheart, as the song goes, or as a friend. Only last week, police intercepted a jeep full of dogs — mouths tied and bleeding to prevent them from barking or howling in protest, feet bound to prevent them running, and all l50 of them piled on top of each other — traveling in broad daylight along a main Manila highway. "These are hard times, sir," the vehicle's owner explained, "and this is just a job, a source of livelihood." He claims to have purchased the pooches for between $7 and $8 in nearby Batangas province, and was transporting them to a not-so-secret slaughter house far to the north in Baguio, where dog meat is a local delicacy. As the owner of the vehicle confirmed, "We've been doing this since time immemorial."

Blue Ocean Strategy

How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make Competition Irrelevant. Co-author W.Chan Kim joined me from France with details this morning.
Despite a long-term decline in the circus industry, Cirque du Soleil profitably increased revenue twenty-two-fold over the last 10 years by reinventing the circus. Rather than competing within the confines of the existing industry or trying to steal customers from rivals, Cirque developed uncontested market space that made the competition irrelevant. Cirque created what the authors call a blue ocean--a previously unknown market space. In blue oceans, demand is created rather than fought over. There is ample opportunity for growth that is both profitable and rapid. In red oceans--that is, in all the industries already existing--companies compete by grabbing for a greater share of limited demand. As the market space gets more crowded, prospects for profits and growth decline. Products turn into commodities, and increasing competition turns the water bloody. There are two ways to create blue oceans. One is to launch completely new industries, as eBay did with online auctions. But it's much more common for a blue ocean to be created from within a red ocean when a company expands the boundaries of an existing industry. In studying more than 150 blue ocean creations in over 30 industries, the authors observed that the traditional units of strategic analysis--company and industry--are of limited use in explaining how and why blue oceans are created. The most appropriate unit of analysis is the strategic move, the set of managerial actions and decisions involved in making a major market-creating business offering. Creating blue oceans builds brands. So powerful is blue ocean strategy, in fact, that a blue ocean strategic move can create brand equity that lasts for decades.
