I sat in for Mike Gallagher on his nationally syndicated show today.

Here's what I talked about today.

Hour #1
Looting in New Orleans. What should the response be, shoot to kill?
"To be honest with you, people who are oppressed all their lives, man, it's an opportunity to get back at society," New Orleans resident Mike Franklin told the Associated Press.

Hour #2
David Kupelian author of The Marketing of Evil: How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised as Freedom. He joins me for an in depth discussion of societal shifts and changes in attitudes and norms. These changes didn't just happen by accident the were carefully planned.

Hour #3
Anti-war protesters have crossed the line of decency and good taste. Code Pink has been protesting outside Walter Reed Medical Center taunting the wounded. Now we have the Rev. Fred Phelps protesting at the funerals of slain military. What is wrong with people?

We put a very human face on the tragedy known as Hurricane Katrina. We shared the audio of Harvey Jackson from Biloxi, Mississippi. Harvey lost everything including his wife. If this story doesn't break your heart you're not human! We talked about what we can do to help the hundreds of Harvey Jacksons out there.

Jan Hall resigns!

Local6 has the details...

Teacher Who Wrote Controversial Letter Resigns

Gas $3.00 per gallon this weekend in Orlando thanks to Katrina

That's what my guest Phil Flynn Vice President, Energy Analyst and General Market Analyst with Alaron Trading Corporation predicted on my show today. All the result of hurricane Katrina.

Is Jan Hall of Puerto Rican descent? Does it change the story?

The claim turns out to be baseless. What if it were true? Would it change the dynamics of the story? Would Jan Hall still be considered a racist?

Monday, August 29, 2005

Rev. Fred Phelps is protesting at the funerals of slain military.

I've invited the founder of Westboro Baptist church on my show so I can ask him "What is wrong with you Rev. Phelps?" "Have you no sense of shame, have you no decency?" What kind of a nimrod decides to hold an anti-war protest at a funeral?
Read the whole disturbing story HERE.

Text of the Jan Hall letter

Dear Honorable Congressman,

Please consider my views when you are voting and representing voters.

I believe we must close the doors to all foreigners for awhile (sic) until we get this economy and the schools back on their feet. As a classroom teacher in Florida for 28 years, I know that foreigners are the largest users of our taxpayers' money. Foreigners are taking all of the jobs that poor and little-educated Americans could have. Many people are being paid under the table, and therefore they are not paying their fair share of taxes. Schools are dealing with too many problems with language differences, and time is lost to our American children who have parents who pay taxes. I'm seeing money going to local charities going to Mexican, Haitian, and Mid-Eastern immigrants instead of to the poorer people of American descent.

Our school at Sadler Elementary where I teach is 92% Puerto Rican. Please consider changing the laws and keeping these people home in Puerto Rico. They are trashing Orlando daily.

These P.R. children are holding American children back academically, and Puerto Rican teachers can keep getting extensions on their temporary certificates so that they are allowed to teach without proper training. I can truthfully say that Puerto Rican teachers at my school ask me continually for help with math, as they do not get but the equivalent of a fifth grade education in Puerto Rico. They almost always can do no algebra and rely on the system to get by.

I find that Haitian children are more aggressive in the classroom and have not been to school regularly. Their poor conduct is yet another real problem.

In Winter Haven, FL, a large orange grove area with Mexican migrants to do the work, jobs that poor blacks and poor whites used to take are filled by Mexicans, who I am told bring in drugs and disease, such as incurable TB, for the most part.

I know that the solution is difficult, but other countries protect their borders and do not allow foreigners to take citizens' jobs. Please do not allow criminals to stay, as they are filling the jobs in FL.

It's time to get our troops home!

Very truly,
Jan P. Hall

U.S. releases 1,000 from Abu Ghraib prison

The Washington Times is reporting...

BAGHDAD -- The U.S. military said yesterday it had freed 1,000 detainees from Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison at the Baghdad government's request, in the largest release to date.

It was not clear if the decision to release the Sunni prisoners was linked to a demand by Arab Sunnis involved in negotiating a constitution.

This can't be a good idea!

Selective Outrage

The Sentinel is all bent out of shape over Pat Robertson's comments but I can't find anything in the archives about their outrage over similar comments made by George Stephanopoulos.

Robertson wrong

Our position: The televangelist's statements embarrass his faith and bolster U.S. enemies.

Check out this gem...

Mr. Robertson is notorious for off-the-wall statements. He once warned that Orlando would suffer natural disasters for flying flags to mark Gay Days at Disney World.
Didn't we get nailed by three huricanes last year?

Stephanopoulos Urged Foreign Assassination

NM Fresh from his influential White House post, Stephanopoulos devoted an entire column in Newsweek to the topic of whether the U.S. should take out Saddam Hussein.
His headlined? "Why We Should Kill Saddam."

"Assassination may be Clinton's best option," the future "This Week" host urged. "If we can kill Saddam, we should."

Though Iraq war critics now argue that by 1997, the Iraqi dictator was "in a box" and posed no threat whatsoever to the U.S., Stephanopoulos contended that Saddam deserved swift and lethal justice.

"We've exhausted other efforts to stop him, and killing him certainly seems more proportionate to his crimes and discriminate in its effect than massive bombing raids that will inevitably kill innocent civilians," the diminutive former aide contended.

Stephanopoulos even offered a way to get around the presidential ban on foreign assassinations:

"If Clinton decides we can and should assassinate Saddam, he could call in national-security adviser Sandy Berger and sign a secret National Security Decision Directive authorizing it."

Just for the record...

CIA, Military Men Agree with Pat Robertson

Welcome to the Darkside

Lance Armstrong Defends Himself Against Accusations Of Doping

Last night (August 25th), champion cyclist Lance Armstrong appeared on the Larry King Live show on CNN to defend himself against accusations in the French press that he had used performance enhancing drugs in the 1999 Tour de France bicycle race. Armstrong has won the race seven times in a row.

French sports newspaper L'Equipe reported earlier this week that a researcher testing six reserved urine samples, taken from Armstrong in 1999, found positive for performance enhancer EPO.

Armstrong, who was described by Larry King as one of the most drug-tested athletes in the world, both in out of events, alleged that the accusations were a "set-up." He also said he has constantly fought allegations of doping through his career, to no avail, and didn't expect that they would ever stop.

Armstrong said that basic protocol was not followed in testing the reserve samples, and there are no backup samples left to prove either side's case. He also said that he didn't trust the lab technician, and that the French press have sometimes been biased against him, considering his success in one of their highest-profile national sports events.

He also categorically denied ever "doping," or using performance enhancers, during his career.

"There's a setup here and I'm stuck in the middle of it," Armstrong told the Associated Press, and added, "I absolutely do not trust that laboratory."

The allegations are reportedly more serious than previous ones, according to Dick Pound, head of the World Anti-Doping Agency, who himself had not yet reviewed the test results.

From the Larry King Live show:

Armstrong: "This thing stinks. It's not good for me, and the unfortunate thing is that you're potentially dealt with something that you have to face for the rest of your life, and like I said protocol wasn't followed, and there is no backup sample to confirm what they say is a positive test."
(Larry King) "Can you unequivocally say you have never used an illegal substance?" (Lance Armstrong) "Listen, I've said it for seven years, I've said it for longer than seven years. I have never doped. I can say it again, but I've said it for seven years, it doesn't help. But the fact of the matter is I haven't, and if you consider my situation, a guy who comes back from arguably a death sentence, why would I then enter into a sport and dope myself up and risk my life again? That's crazy, I would never do that. No, no way."

Here's a little crash course in blood doping and EPO. Click HERE.

The French won't be happy until they bring Lance down!

Can you believe they're still talking about Tancredo's appearance on my show July 14th?

USA-Islam
AAI Poll shows Americans' option for diplomacy over violence

A recently-conducted Arab American Institute (AAI) poll has shown that Americans overwhelmingly reject the suggestion made by US Congressman Tom Tancredo, who had urged the American government to bomb Islamic holy sites, namely Mecca, as a response to any future attack by Islamist fundamentalists on the US national soil.

The Letter President Bush Should Send To Cindy Sheehan

Dear Mrs. Sheehan,

You have asked me to identify the noble cause for which your son died. I have not answered you personally out of respect for the nobility of your son's sacrifice.

Being president forces me into the spotlight, but I would rather stand in the shadows of men like Casey Sheehan.

Directing national attention on my response to your protest creates a distraction from what matters. The focus of our attention, and our admiration, should rest on people like Casey Sheehan, who stand in the breach when evil threatens to break out and consume a helpless people.

The running story on the news networks should be the valiant efforts of our troops -- the merchants of mercy who export freedom and import honor. They trade their own lives for the sake of others.

As a result, we live in a nation where a woman can camp outside of the president's house and verbally attack the president for weeks on end without fear of prison, torture or death. And the number of nations where such protest is possible has multiplied thanks to the work of our military.

You ask for what noble cause your son died?

In a sense he died so that people like you, who passionately oppose government policies, can freely express that opposition. As you camp in Crawford, you should take off your shoes, for you stand on holy ground. This land was bought with the blood of men like your son.

Now, 25 million Iraqis cry out to enjoy the life you take for granted. Most of them will never use their freedom to denigrate the sacrifice of those who paid for it. But once liberty is enshrined in law, they will be free to do so. And when the Iraqis finally escape their incarceration, hope will spread throughout that enslaved region of the world, eventually making us all safer and more free.

The key is in the lock of the prison door. Bold men risk everything to turn it.

Mrs. Sheehan, everyone dies. But few experience the bittersweet glory of death with a purpose -- death that sets people free and produces ripples of liberty hundreds of years into the future.

Casey Sheehan died that freedom might triumph over bondage, hope over despair, prosperity over misery. He died restoring justice and mercy. He lived and died to help to destroy the last stubborn vestiges of the Dark Ages.

To paraphrase President Lincoln, the world will little note nor long remember what you and I say here. But it can never forget what Casey Sheehan did during his brief turn on earth. If we are wise, we will take increased devotion to that cause for which he gave the last full measure of devotion.

Our brave warriors have blazed a trail. They have entrusted the completion of the task to those of us they left behind. Let's, you and I, resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain.

Let's finish the work that they have thus far so nobly advanced.

Sincerely,
George W. Bush

Anti-War Protests Target Wounded at Army Hospital

I'm talking about it Friday morning with...

Cybercast News Service’s Marc Morano reports on an angle of the war not yet seen by most Americans:

Washington (CNSNews.com) - The Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., the current home of hundreds of wounded veterans from the war in Iraq, has been the target of weekly anti-war demonstrations since March. The protesters hold signs that read "Maimed for Lies" and "Enlist here and die for Halliburton … Code Pink Women for Peace, one of the groups backing anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan's vigil outside President Bush's ranch in Crawford Texas, organizes the protests at Walter Reed as well. "

Coming Up Thursday Morning...

A live report of the good news from the front lines in Iraq.

Also, Michael Graham the Washington, DC Talk Show host that was fired for calling Islam a terrorist organization joins me with the rest of the story.

Here is Michael's take on the whole deal How to get fired

Topics and Links from Today's Mike Gallagher Show 8/24

Hour #1
In Dallas, the responsibility may fall on Americans to learn the languages of the people who are coming here. The school board is considering making its 100 principals learn Spanish, giving them three years to comply.
We have got everything backwards. We should be teaching the parents English so they can speak it at home with their children. We are losing the cohesiveness of this country. We are not assimilating the immigrants. We are doing the opposite. We are trying to change the Americans to become like the immigrants.

Hour #2
Cruise Somehow Gets Loonier Just when you thought he couldn't get any nuttier. Tom believes he's been reincarnated multiple times. He claims he was Shakespeare in a previous life. I think he's having a very public breakdown or mid-life crisis.

Hour #3
The Iraqi constitution. It's beginning to look like they are creating an Islamic State not a Democracy. Is this what the US fought and died for?

Hour #4(as heard on 1080 KRLD Dallas,TX)
DALLAS -- A Peruvian man living in North Texas died Friday, two weeks after police used pepper spray on him when he reportedly resisted arrest. Who's to blame? Did the police use excessive force or is it the suspect's own fault for resisting arrest?

Topics and Links from Today's Mike Gallagher Show.

Hour #1
Illegals Awarded Ranch of Man Who Tried To Stop Them
PHOENIX — An Arizona ranch once owned by a member of an armed group accused of terrorizing illegal immigrants has been turned over to two of the very people the owner had tried keep out of the country.

The land is being transferred to satisfy a judgment against Casey Nethercott, a member of a self-styled border-watch group who is serving a five-year prison term for firearms possession.

Morris Dees Jr., chief trial counsel of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which represented the immigrants, said he hoped the ruling would be a cautionary tale to anyone considering hostile measures against border crossers.

“When we got into this case, ranchers all along the border were allowing these types to come on their property,” Dees said. “Now, they’re very leery of it, especially when they see someone losing their ranch because of it.”

Hour #2
Robertson Calls for Chavez's Assassination

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson (search) has suggested that American agents assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez (search) to stop his country from becoming "a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism."

Hour #3

Should people like Eric Rudolph and the BTK Killer be given a public forum to tell their side of the story? I say NO!

Olympics bomber apologizes, but not to all victims
“I fully realize that all of this may be no consolation to the victims who suffered as a result of my actions, but I would do anything to take back that night,” he said. “To these victims, I apologize.”

He said nothing about victims at three other sites he pleaded guilty to bombing: a lesbian and gay nightclub near here where five people were injured; an abortion clinic here where more than 50 were injured; and an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Ala., where a police officer was killed and a nurse maimed.

Hour #4(as heard on 1080 KRLD Dallas, TX)
Dallas police on Tuesday asked the City Council to allow them to stop answering every home and business burglar alarm call – an idea that alarm companies oppose and which has drawn the ire of homeowners in other cities.

Of the more than 62,000 alarm calls last year in Dallas, police say more than 97 percent were false, caused, for example, by malfunctioning alarm systems, weather or pets. Switching to what is called a "verified response" would free up the equivalent of 41 police officers and save about $3.4 million, police said. Read the rest HERE.

The Real War Against America

International scandal, undercover private investigators, shredded evidence, intimidation, and theft: all in a day’s work for Brett Kingstone, author of "The Real War Against America." Kingstone tells the true story of the company he founded, Super Vision International, and its desperate struggle against Chinese counterfeiters who stole designs, equipment and profits.

When Kingstone learned that the market had been flooded with counterfeit Super Vision products, he started to fight back immediately, protecting the business he started as a 19-year-old Stanford student. With little or no help from the local police, the F.B.I. or the U.S. justice department, Super Vision gathered enough evidence to take the criminals to court with the help of private investigators posing as rich Arab sheiks. But the defendants, their lawyers and their bankers went to extremes to cover up their crimes.

In 2002, Super Vision won a $33 million verdict against the intellectual-property thieves, but Kingstone has yet to see a dime. As one expert testified in court, the defendants wired $28.5 million out of the United States before the trial "using methods consistent with money laundering."

For six years and counting, Brett Kingstone has fought against criminals who many would have simply let get away with what they had done. Kingstone stood up for himself, his company and his country. "The Real War Against America" is a riveting story and an urgent call to arms for every American citizen to fight against terrorists who do not need bullets or bombs to destroy the American dream.

This story is incredible it reads like a Tom Clancy novel. It's real and the author is local. Brett Kingstone joins me Thursday at 7AM in studio. You don't want to miss this story. My favorite part is where Brett hires Mossad agents to go overseas and nab the bad guys.

Nation of Islam's Farrakhan Says Mexican President's Controversial Comments Were Right

Controversial Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said Sunday (August 14th) that Mexican President Vicente Fox was right to say that Mexican immigrants take jobs, quote, "that not even blacks want," the Associated Press reports. Many black leaders, among them Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, criticized Fox and called on him to apologize for the comments he made in May. However, Fox said he did not mean any offense and was commenting on the contributions the Mexicans make to the U.S.

Speaking at Mercy Memorial Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Farrakhan agreed with Fox and said blacks don't want to go to farms and pick fruit because they already, quote, "picked enough cotton." He added, "Why are you so foolishly sensitive when somebody is telling you the truth?" He said blacks and Latinos should form an alliance to correct differences and animosity between their communities.

I'm confused! Who should I listen to Jesse and Al or Louis Farrakhan? Could Louis be right for once in his life?

Check out the e-mail from a local sex offender.

540s’ news story about the sex offender probation office across the street from McCoy elementary didn’t quite give the whole story. That office was been there before I moved to Orange County in 1999, and McCoy’s playground had been where their building is now. At the southeastern corner of the grounds, less than 300 feet from the offices front door, the intersection of Turnbull and Commander, there has always been a crossing guard and unaccompanied children have always been walking along the streets to that intersection when I arrived for my monthly visit.

It might be interesting to find out how many children have been attacked over the years because of the offenders proximity to their school.

It might be interesting to interview the officers responsible for managing these offenders and find out how many offenders they have had to violate for repeat sexual offenses. Either they lied to me, or Dr. Levenson told you the truth about the low recidivism rates and effective treatment for sex offenders when you interviewed her a while back.

I doubt they will be allowed to interview with you but you could try. Our treatment group with our therapists drafted a letter to the media and legislators a few weeks ago but the sponsoring university and it’s psychiatric department refused to endorse it because of fear that the public would be outraged that it provided treatment to sex offenders and force it to terminate the program.

I think it’s time the media gave the whole truth about sex offenders to the public, rather than continually terrify and inflame them. Maybe then treatment providers, community managers (probation officers, etc.), research psychologists and universities will be more effective than they already are.

-Al from Cocoa

I'm afraid you won't find a whole lot of interest in the other side of the story among listeners. Nor should you expect sympathy from the public. Most people don't want their kids used as guinea pigs in a giant social experiment to see if you really are cured.

Coming to Crawford, Texas... "You Don't Speak for Me, Cindy" Tour

Deborah Johns of Marine Moms joins me at 7AM to talk about...

(SACRAMENTO) – The national organization that supports our troops and the war against terrorism, Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org), is announcing today the formation of the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” tour.

Move America Forward will lead a caravan of military family members opposed to the anti-military antics of Cindy Sheehan (the anti-war activist) to Crawford, Texas. The caravan will depart for Crawford early next week from different locations around the country. Move America Forward is working with a number of organizations around the nation to arrange for these multiple caravans.

The main group will depart from San Francisco next Monday, launched by Move America Forward’s Chairman, Melanie Morgan, from her radio show on KSFO Radio. The trip will culminate in a rally in Crawford on Saturday, August 27, 2005 to support our troops AND their mission in Iraq.

“The overwhelming majority of military families support their loved ones and the missions they are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. These military families do not share Cindy Sheehan’s view of the war on terrorism, and the true story needs to be told. We invite Americans to join us en masse in Crawford, Texas on August 27 so we can send a message to terrorists around the world that American resolve is stronger than ever,” Morgan said.

Deborah Johns of Marine Moms will lead the delegation from San Francisco. Her son, William, has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and she appears in a television commercial produced by Move America Forward where she proclaims her support for our troops and their fight against terrorism.

“Cindy Sheehan doesn’t speak for me, nor does she speak for any of the military families that I have been involved with. I am deeply sorry for Ms. Sheehan’s loss; however, Ms. Sheehan’s actions are only causing pain to those of us who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism. We understand the need to fight the terrorists overseas rather than face attack here at home,” said Deborah Johns.

“We understand that it was the terrorists led by Al Qaeda in Iraq who are responsible for the deaths of U.S. service members, including Casey Sheehan,” concluded Johns.

The main caravan will stop at numerous destinations along the way for rallies, meetings with supporters, press conferences and media interviews.

Move America Forward will also broadcast national television ads to raise awareness of the caravan and rally.

Move America Forward will provide continuous updates on the caravan and rally at its website – www.MoveAmericaForward.org.

Lodi Cleric Accused of Plotting Terrorism Camp to Be Deported

SAN FRANCISCO -- A Pakistani cleric being held on immigration violation charges agreed today to be deported, a week after U.S. law enforcement officials accused him of plotting to set up a religious school in Lodi, Calif., to train potential terrorists to attack Americans.

Why are they letting this guy go? He is a threat to the United States.

How much are teachers worth?

Just how much should teachers be worth?

At least $40,000 to start, the National Education Association argues. Last month, the nation's largest teachers union urged school districts to boost the average national starting salary by 34 percent, up from $29,733 -- a call that has sparked new debate about the value of teaching.

With an average starting salary of $31,000 in Central Florida, many teachers are hard-pressed and school districts are scrambling to retain teachers. Even the statewide average salary of $40,604, which includes teachers with decades of experience, is $6,000 less than the national average, the NEA estimated.

Not everyone thinks teachers' pay is inadequate, though.

Teachers usually work a 37-hour week, 197 days a year, Frederick Hess, a former teacher and director of Education Policy Studies for the American Enterprise Institute, pointed out.

"You can argue that [average pay] is quite reasonable for this kind of work," he said. Good teachers might be underpaid, Hess added, "but a huge number of teachers are paid too much."

The federal Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2003 estimated that the typical U.S. worker earned $17.75 an hour. On average, teachers earn $30 an hour, Hess said, when their shorter work year is taken into account.

The uniform salary schedule for teachers is a ubiquitous fixture of American public education. Developed in an effort to professionalize public education, it proved popular because it was deemed fair, easy to understand, and predictable. However, critics now argue that this system promotes mediocrity by rewarding poor performance while failing to recognize outstanding achievement. They propose merit pay as one way of rectifying this imbalance. They argue that many other professions succeed with merit pay systems--from lawyers and professional athletes to aluminum siding salespeople--so why not public school teachers?

Who Blogs?

Blogs Attract Young, Wealthy Readers

Blog visitors are 11 percent more likely than the average Internet user to have incomes of $75,000 or more, and are 30 percent more likely to live in households headed by someone between the ages of 18 and 34, the study found.

During the first quarter, the average blog visitor viewed 77 percent more Web pages than the average Internet user, and spent 23 hours per week online, compared with 13 hours per week for the average user, according to the study. Regarding e-commerce behavior, blog visitors are 30 percent more likely to shop online than the average user.

Proof of the rising popularity of blogs is that about 50 million U.S. Internet users (about 30 percent of all U.S. Internet users) visited blog sites in the first quarter of 2005, up 45 percent compared with 2004's first quarter, according to the study.

The most popular type of blog is the political one, according to the study, which was sponsored by blogging software and service vendor Six Apart and by blog publisher Gawker Media.

The study was based on comScore's tracking of the online activity of over 2 million Internet users.

Cindy Sheehan's latest rant

Am I emotional? Yes, my first born was murdered. Am I angry?

Yes, he was killed for lies and for a PNAC Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel. My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel.

Am I stupid? No, I know full-well that my son, my family, this nation, and this world were betrayed by a George Bush who was influenced by the neo-con PNAC agenda after 9/11.

We were told that we were attacked on 9/11 because the terrorists hate our freedoms and democracy...not for the real reason, because the Arab-Muslims who attacked us hate our middle-eastern foreign policy. That hasn't changed since America invaded and occupied Iraq...in fact it has gotten worse.

You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you'll stop the terrorism.

Is she right?

HERE'S what Arthur Weinreb had to say about Cindy Sheehan — the latest media darling
in the Canada Free Press.

Although the mainstream media wants to portray Cindy Sheehan as simply a poor distraught mother whose son died because "Bush lied", she is going further and further away from this message and expressing her true hatred of the United States and Israel.

Her most poignant statement came when she was interviewed by MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann. Sheehan agreed with Olbermann that it would be bad if George Bush did come out to meet her because it would "diffuse the momentum".

The mainstream media likes to downplay this fact but Casey Sheehan not only voluntarily enlisted in the Armed Forces, he re-enlisted knowing that he would be going to Iraq.

In 1993, another dead soldier’s family member openly protested a president’s handling of America’s armed forces, and the misuse of them. I refer to Vietnam veteran James H. Smith, whose son, Ranger Jamie Smith, was killed in action as part of operation Task Force Ranger in Somalia in 1993.

James H. Smith met with President Clinton, and testified before Congress in regard to the misuse of the armed services by Clinton and the subsequent slaughter of 18 Rangers. Little was heard about this parent’s outrage over his son’s needless death.

The media chose to ignore the objections of James H. Smith. The Freepers at Freerepublic.com have not. The story of James H. Smith reminds us all that media bias is not only real, but is determined to force its way into our lives. This LINK is a must-read.

The Letter to Mom
Read this letter that Mohammed at Iraq the Model wrote to Cindy Sheehan
It is a MUST READ

We live in pain and grief everyday, every hour, every minute; all the horrors of the powers of darkness have been directed at us and I don't know exactly when am I going to feel safe again, maybe in a year, maybe two or even ten; I frankly don't know but I don't want to lose hope and faith.

We are in need for every hand that can offer some help. Please pray for us, I know that God listens to mothers' prayers and I call all the women on earth to pray with you for peace in this world.

Your son sacrificed his life for a very noble cause…No, he sacrificed himself for the most precious value in this existence; that is freedom.

His blood didn't go in vain; your son and our brethren are drawing a great example of selflessness.

God bless his free soul and God bless the souls of his comrades who are fighting evil.

God bless the souls of Iraqis who suffered and died for the sake of freedom.

God bless all the freedom lovers on earth.

Israel Begins Historic Withdrawal from Gaza

Israel sealed off the Gaza Strip to Israeli civilians at midnight on Sunday (August 14th), beginning the start of an historic withdrawal after 38 years of occupation. Settlers were given orders to leave within 48 hours, however several hundred have vowed to stay in their homes, boosted by about 5,000 hardline activists who were recently able to sneak into Gaza. They've vowed to block forceful evictions of settlers by Israeli soldiers, where are set to begin Wednesday.

While Israeli soldiers took up positions to launch the evacuation, Palestinian security forces moved into areas near Jewish settlements to keep away Palestinian crowds and prevent attacks by militants during the pullout. Meanwhile, there were some celebrations in Gaza City by supporters of the militant group Islamic Jihad, while another terrorist group, Hamas, organized midnight prayers of thanks at Gaza mosques.

Under Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's withdrawal plan, which was approved by Parliament, Israel will evacuate 9,000 settlers in all 21 Gaza settlements, as well as from four small settlements in the northern West Bank housing some 500 people. Sharon has said these areas have little value for Israeli security.

While Palestinians are happy about the withdrawal, and many hope it will be a first step settling the issue of the occupied lands, other fear it's a ploy by Sharon to get rid of areas he doesn't view as crucial while consolidating control of the West Bank, where the vast majority of the 240,000 Jewish settlers live. The Palestinians want Gaza, the West Bank and east Jerusalem for their state.

Does this send the message to Palestinians that terrorism works in getting them what they want?

America needs more cowbell.

Christopher Walken for president?
Actor running low-key campaign, says 'official website'

"Our great country is in a terrible downward spiral. We're outsourcing jobs, bankrupting social security, and losing lives at war. We need to focus on what's important-- paying attention to our children, our citizens, our future. We need to think about improving our failing educational system, making better use of our resources, and helping to promote a stable, safe, and tolerant global society. It's time to be smart about our politics. It's time to get America back on track."
-Christopher Walken

The big question, of course: Is "Walken for President" for real? According to one source, the entire campaign, including registration of multiple Web domain names, is an elaborate hoax being perpetrated by members of the General Mayhem forums, one of the largest message boards on the Internet.

Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more cowbell!

Icy death for passengers and crew in Cypriot plane crash

Check out The Austrailian's account of the crash...

The Greek military denied that its fighter jets had shot down the stricken jet. The F-16s were dispatched after the passenger jet ignored air traffic communications once it flew into Greek airspace - a counter-terrorism procedure adopted after last year's Olympic Games to prevent hijackers crashing a jet over Athens.

Greek police last night ruled out hijacking, pointing to a fault with the airconditioning, but military spokesman Gerassimos Kalpoyannakis said "an act of piracy was likely".

Italian news agency ANSA speculated that terrorists might have sabotaged the flight by pumping toxic gas through the airconditioning.

Church Desecration Video Serves as Jihad Fund-Raiser

Cybercast News Service’s [CNSNews.com] Sherrie Gossett reveals horror is being used to raise moneys in Europe and North America for Muslim terrorists. The footage shows a bloody Serbian soldier lying on the ground denoting he has been recently executed after his interrogation. Also seen in the video obtained by CNSNews.com are mujahedeen forces desecrating an Orthodox Christian Church by vandalizing or mocking various sacred items.

Video of the desecration can be seen HERE.

Boys jailed after rocks from bus hit car

Martin E. Comas is reporting in the Sentinel...

TAVARES -- The stepfather of a fifth-grader said Lake County deputy sheriffs went "overboard" Thursday when they arrested his stepson and another boy on charges of throwing rocks out of a Lake County School bus window and hitting a passing car.

The 11-year-old boy and a 10-year-old friend, both students at Minneola Elementary School, were arrested on charges of throwing deadly missiles into vehicles and criminal mischief over $1,000, both felonies, according to sheriff reports.

They were first placed in the Lake County Jail without bail and then transferred to a juvenile detention facility in Ocala, sheriff's officials said. They are scheduled to appear before a Lake County judge today in Tavares.

"They're making an example of him," the older boy's stepfather said. "He's only 11; he doesn't know the consequences. He's probably scared to death right now."

The cops did the right thing! Daddy's part of the problem he's acting as an apologist for junior. If you want to send a clear message to other students that this type of behavior won't be tolerated you throw the book at the vandals. Someone could have been seriously injured or killed.

Deputy fires Taser at girl accused of having knife

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting...

An Orange County deputy stunned a 14-year-old with a Taser twice Thursday morning when, authorities said, the teen charged after her boyfriend with an 8-inch chopping knife at the gates of their school.

Cpl. Edd Gordon tried to stop Roshounda by grabbing her right wrist. But the teen switched the weapon to her left hand and continued to attack, according to a report.

"Drop the knife," Gordon commanded, according to the report. Roshounda lunged toward him.

Gordon pushed her away, drew his .45-caliber Glock semiautomatic pistol and aimed. She moved toward him again.

"Don't point that gun at me," Taylor quoted Roshounda's warning to Gordon. Gordon pushed her away a second time.

It's nice to know that Glenn Close of Fatal Attraction fame has a little clone here in Florida. This officer is to be commended for exercising incredible restraint. Had I been the officer I would have emptied my Glock when she lunged at me with the butcher's knife.

Why Do Men Have Nipples? Tune in at 8AM to find out!

Hundreds of Questions You'd Only Ask a Doctor After Your Third Martini

Is There a Doctor in the House?

Say you’re at a party. You’ve had a martini or three, and you mingle through the crowd, wondering how long you need to stay before going out for pizza. Suddenly you’re introduced to someone new, Dr. Nice Tomeetya. You forget the pizza. Now is the perfect time to bring up all those strange questions you’d like to ask during an office visit with your own doctor but haven’t had the guts (or more likely the time) to do so. You’re filled with liquid courage . . . now is your chance! If you’ve ever wanted to ask a doctor . . .

•How do people in wheelchairs have sex?

•Why do I get a killer headache when I suck down my milkshake too fast?

•Can I lose my contact lens inside my head forever?

•Why does asparagus make my pee smell?

•Is the old adage “beer before liquor, never sicker, liquor before beer . . .” really true?

. . . then Why Do Men Have Nipples? is the book for you.

Compiled by Billy Goldberg, an emergency medicine physician, and Mark Leyner, bestselling author and well-known satirist, Why Do Men Have Nipples? offers real factual and really funny answers to some of the big questions about the oddities of our bodies.

About the Author(s)
Mark Leyner is the author of My Cousin, My Gastroenterologist; Tooth Imprints on a Corn Dog; I Smell Esther Williams; Et Tu Babe; and The Tetherballs of Bougainville. He has written scripts for a variety of films and television shows. His writing appears regularly in The New Yorker, Time, and GQ.

Debbie Schlussel stops by at 7AM to bury Peter Jennings not to praise him.

Jihadi Journalist: The Real Peter Jennings
By Debbie Schlussel

While the rest of the world is blindly singing the praises of Peter Jennings, here's a reality check: Peter Jennings did more for the cause of Islamic terrorism than any media figure today. And that's nothing to celebrate, honor, or even memorialize.

Before there was Al Jazeera, there was Peter Jennings.

From the beginning of Jennings' career until his death, his biased coverage went beyond the pale, bending over backward in "understanding" the terrorists who hate us-- from seeing "their side" when he covered the siege and then murder of innocent Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics to honoring an Al-Qaeda operative with a prized "commentator" spot during Jennings coverage of the 9/11 attacks. Able Danger, the 9/11 Commission & the Strange (But Now Explainable) Actions of Sandy Berger

10 August 2005: Hey America… do you remember the strange actions of President Clinton’s national security adviser Sandy Berger during the 9/11 Commission investigation when he removed highly classified terrorism documents that should have been turned over to that independent commission? Did you ever wonder what Berger was attempting to hide and even more importantly, why? Did you also wonder why, even though he committed a felony, he received nothing more than a slap on the wrist while various political and intelligence officials played down his actions, wanting them to disappear as quickly as possible? It appears that we just might have discovered the answers to these and other troubling questions: Able Danger. Read the rest of the article HERE.

Helmet law repeal raises death rate

Motorcyclist deaths have nearly doubled and medical costs have soared in Florida five years since the state government made helmet use optional.
In a survey by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in the three years after the optional helmet law took effect, the number of fatal motorcycle accidents increased more than 81 percent -- compared with a 48 percent increase nationally.
"The numbers are pretty compelling that Florida has paid a high price," Rae Tyson, a spokesman for the federal agency told the Miami Herald
The study said in the 30 months after the helmet law was lifted, 4,986 riders were admitted to hospitals -- 40 percent more than the 3,567 admissions during the 30 months before the law was changed. Head-injury admissions were up 80 percent and costs charged to hospitals for motorcyclists with head, brain or skull injuries more than doubled from $21 million to $50 million.
Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said he was compelled to sign the helmet law repeal because legislators had rolled it into a larger transportation package. A Bush spokesman declined comment because his office hadn't yet seen the study.

Is it time for Jeb to reinstitute the helmet laws?

Costs of Illegal Immigration to Floridians

Analysis of the latest Census data indicates Florida’s illegal immigrant population is costing the state’s taxpayers $4.3 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration. Even if the estimated taxes collected from illegal immigrant workers are subtracted, net outlays still amount to more than $3.3 billion per year. The annual fiscal burden amounts to about $575 per Florida household headed by a native-born resident. Read the entire study HERE.

Tuesday morning Robert Spencer of JihadWatch joins me to discuss his new book.

What they're saying about "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)":

"To win the War on Terror, we must understand our enemies. The courageous and indefatigable Robert Spencer busts myths and tells truths about jihadists that no one else will tell. The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) is indispensable reading."
-- Michelle Malkin, author, In Defense of Internment

"With a provocative and irreverent style, Robert Spencer assails, with much erudition, the taboos imposed by the Politically Correct League. A daring tonic that teaches fundamental truths."
-- Bat Ye'or, author, Eurabia and The Decline of Eastern Christianity Under Islam

"The jihad that the Western world faces today is identical in its motivations and goals to that which Europe managed to stave off almost a thousand years ago thanks in large part to the Crusades of which the West is now ashamed. In this book, Robert Spencer tells the truth that few in the U.S. or Europe wish to face. Today's jihad, as Spencer illustrates here, is proceeding on two fronts: one of violence and terror, and another of cultural shaming and the rewriting of history. Here is a devastating riposte to that revisionism -- and a clarion call for the defense of the West, before it is too late."
-- Ibn Warraq, author of Why I Am Not A Muslim and editor of Leaving Islam and What the Koran Really Says

"The value of Spencer’s book is twofold. He reminds us of the consequences of our failure to come to grips with the message and implications of Islam. And he warns against the spirit of masochistic self-loathing that permeates the Western elite class. In a sane world Spencer’s recommendations -- notably that the upholders of sharia should be treated as political radicals and subjected to appropriate supervision -- would not be deemed 'politically incorrect' but eminently sensible."
-- Serge Trifkovic, author, Sword of the Prophet

"With the 2005 'Kingdom of Heaven' movie trying to visualize the actual scenes that occurred between European Crusaders and Arab Muslim armies in the Middle Ages, the whole issue of the clash of civilizations came back to haunt politicians. Traditional historians used to relate facts. Politicized historians, such as Amine Maalouf, insisted that Western Crusaders were evil, and their enemies were righteous. Robert Spencer, an expert on historical Jihad, responds with a 'politically incorrect' but academically sound and challenging work. Spencer displays enourmous amount of well research material. He throws the ball back into the camp of Arabist historians."
-- Walid Phares, author, Lebanese Christian Nationalism: The Rise and Fall of an Ethnic Resistance

"Sweeping away the politically correct myths about a tolerant, peaceful Islam brutalized by demonic Christian Crusaders, Robert Spencer in this powerful, important book lets the facts of history speak for themselves. The truth he recovers is simple: an aggressive, violent Islamic creed for fourteen centuries has waged war against the infidel West, a scourge of conquest and persecution that roused the Crusaders to restore the Near East to the Christian and Hellenic culture devastated by the armies of Islam. Spencer's rousing, straight-talking book is a much-needed antidote to the poisonous propaganda that compromises our current battle against jihadist murder."
-- Bruce S. Thornton, author, Greek Ways: How the Greeks Created Western Civilization

The destruction of Mecca: Saudi hardliners are wiping out their own heritage

Historic Mecca, the cradle of Islam, is being buried in an unprecedented onslaught by religious zealots.

Almost all of the rich and multi-layered history of the holy city is gone. The Washington-based Gulf Institute estimates that 95 per cent of millennium-old buildings have been demolished in the past two decades.

Now the actual birthplace of the Prophet Mohamed is facing the bulldozers, with the connivance of Saudi religious authorities whose hardline interpretation of Islam is compelling them to wipe out their own heritage.

Remember the outrage when Tancredo merely suggested bombing holy sites? Oddly the Muslim world sites silent as much of their history is destroyed. Go figure?

Jury clears road-rage gunman

BUSHNELL -- Ottawa Lovett kept her emotions bottled Friday until the man who admitted firing the shot that killed her 5-year-old daughter left the Sumter County Courthouse grateful and free. Read the detailed Sentinel account HERE.

WOW!! Brad King blew it big time! Although Ottawa's father bears some culpability in her death there is no way Joshua Walsh should have walked away scott free. He took the life of a 5 year old girl. No doubt this will be a hot topic Monday morning.

State guardians laud Schiavo for fulfilling Terri's wish to die

The Florida State Guardianship Association bestowed its Guardian of the Year Award on Schiavo for carrying out his wife's wishes not to be kept alive artificially despite a drumbeat of withering criticism.

In a rare public appearance, Schiavo, 42, modestly accepted the award at the association's 18th annual conference at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa west of Miami.

I'm on The O'Reilly Factor tonight at 8PM ET

OK it's a rerun(4/25/05) but maybe you missed it the first time.

It's a "Factor" investigation into the prosecutor who will not charge three people who might be complicit in the brutal murder of 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford.

Factor Investigation Segment
A look at FL Prosecutor Brad King
Guests: Mike Carr, fmr. Collier County Prosecutor & Pat Campbell, WFLA

The Factor has frequently criticized Florida State Attorney Brad King for refusing to charge three people who lied to the police about sex offender John Couey, who murdered 9-year old Jessica Lunsford. King has refused to appear on The Factor, but defended himself on WFLA radio: "For anybody to say that I don't take seriously my obligation does not know me. For anyone to say that I do not care about children knows me even less." WFLA's Pat Campbell told The Factor that King seems to be under extreme pressure. "He became quite emotional and broke down twice during the interview. It really calls into question Brad King's judgment. And I want to thank you and your program because you're really putting the spotlight on him." Former Florida prosecutor Mike Carr explained that Couey's colleagues may be legally culpable for aiding in Jessica's murder. "If there's anything that shows that the people knew something was going on, then you have a basis to prosecute."

Researching Roberts's Kids

Check out the leaked report on the Drudge Report that the NY Times is sending one of its top reporters to look into the circumstances concerning Judge Roberts’ adopted children.

Are left wing groups getting ready to play dirty like they did during the Clarence Thomas nomination? Consider this troubling entry from a leading left-wing blog:

A poster on the Daily Kops, a site as influential on the left as it is deranged, wrote:

When Roberts thanked his family, he mentioned his son, Jack . . . Roberts' wife's face fell. It was like a poker tell. I think we should research Jack.

Another poster wrote that Roberts's son "is probably gay," explaining that "extreme conservatives seem to have a lot of homosexual children." Jack Roberts is 4 years old.

There is a report that Judge Roberts once helped gay rights activitists in Colorado win a U.S. Supreme Court ruling barring discrimination from jobs or housing. There is speculation the story was leaked by left-wing groups attempting to divide the right.

Can you believe this? How low will they go? Have they no sense of shame?

Watch the Bob Novak Meltdown

Contributor and syndicated columnist Robert D. Novak stormed off CNN's set after using vulgar language during a live discussion with CNN contributor James Carville on the "Strategy Session" segment of the August 4 edition of CNN's Inside Politics.

While discussing Rep. Katherine Harris's (R-FL) plan to run for a Senate seat against Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL), Novak told Carville, "Just let me finish what I'm going to say, James, please. I know you hate to hear me." Carville said to host Ed Henry, describing Novak: "He's gotta show these right-wingers that he's got backbone, you know. The Wall Street Journal editorial page is watching you. Show 'em you're tough."

Novak responded: "Well, I think that's bullshit, and I hate that." He then said to Henry, "Just let it go." As Henry asked Carville a question, Novak walked off the set.

After the segment ended, Henry apologized to viewers for Novak's leaving the set "a little early," adding: "I had told him in advance that we were going to ask him about the CIA leak case. He was not here for me to be able to ask him about that. Hopefully, we'll be able to ask him about that in the future."

Hat Tip to Media Matters for America.

In 14 Marines' deaths, a moment for reflection

Read the USA Today Editorial HERE.
After Wednesday, more Americans are likely to ask whether U.S. troops are dying for an achievable cause.

Novak: Iraq Poses 'Problem' for GOP in 2006

Novak disagreed with the decision to go to war with Iraq, and presumably the Bush Doctrine of spreading democracy abroad, saying, "I just don't believe that it is the responsibility of the United States to implant democracy in any place in the world."

He also said he doubts Americans will have the patience to continue the democratization effort in the Middle East. "We don't have the stomach for it; we are not an imperial power ... Iraq is not Iowa, we're not going to make it Iowa," Novak told the students.

Citing the British colonial failure in Iraq and other similar failed ventures of the last century, Novak said, "we should study the history and perhaps calm down a little bit on applying democracy around the world." These past problems, he said, are "something that should give us pause."

Is there a change in the air? We talked about it this morning on the show.

N.Y. Teacher Accused of Raping Boy

ALBANY, N.Y. A 42-year-old teacher at a Catholic school who was charged with rape for allegedly having sex with an underage male student posted a $20,000 bond Tuesday and was released from jail.

Authorities said Sandra Beth Geisel had sex with four students from the Christian Brothers Academy in Colonie, N.Y., but in three of the cases the boys were 17-years-old and therefore were legally able to give their consent. Geisel faces sexual assault charges for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old boy.

Two observations; First why is important that she taught at a CATHOLIC school. When Debra Lafave was arrested I don't remember the press making a big deal that she taught at a PUBLIC school. Secondly, most people think of rape as forcing yourself on someone else that doesn't want to participate in the sexual act. Can a female teacher force herself on a willing participant. Does that constitute rape? Why is society so sympathetic when it comes to female predators? I think what she did was despicable. Sandra Beth Geisel betrayed the public trust and abused her position of authority. She should have her teaching license yanked for good. Does she deserve to go to jail for seven years?

So what is going on? And…where is the outrage?

Can you imagine what the reaction would be if these teachers had been men…who had sex with teenage girls?

They'd be locked up for good.

But since it's women having sex with teenage boys, somehow it's not as bad?

Radio Station Inciting 'Anti-Muslim Hatred,' Group Says

CNSNews.com - An Islamic civil rights group Wednesday called on a Washington, D.C. radio station to address what it says is "an incitement of anti-Muslim hatred" by the station's talk show hosts.

This comes after WMAL talk show host Michael Graham was suspended without pay for comments he made calling Islam "a terrorist organization." On Friday, Graham's replacement host, Geoff Metcalf, claimed on the air that the Koran gives Muslims "permission to lie when it is appropriate."

"And by the way, let me just add a sidebar here that's significant, and everybody forgets this, but according to the Quran, believers in Islam are not required to tell infidels, and that's us, the truth. So they apparently have permission to lie when it is appropriate," said Metcalf, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

According to CAIR, most of the listeners who called in "expressed similar hostility to Muslims and to the faith of Islam."

"We are strong supporters of the First Amendment, but it is disingenuous to misuse it as a shield for incitement to religious hatred," said CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper in a statement Wednesday. Read the rest HERE.

As you know I had the spokesman for the Islamic Society of Central Florida on my show last Thursday. The Imam admitted on air that the Quran does indeed permit lying in certain circumstances. He went on to give examples of when it would be permissible. Was he inciting religious hatred or simply telling the truth?

Police in Britain leak PC guidelines to avoid offending Muslim suspects

WorldNetDaily.com is reporting...

The guidelines for police offers, according to the paper, include:

*Rapid entry needs to be the last resort and raids into Muslim houses are discouraged for a number of religious dignity reasons.

*Police should seek to avoid looking at unclad Muslim women and allow them an opportunity to dress and cover their heads.

*For reasons of dignity officers should seek to avoid entering occupied bedrooms and bathrooms even before dawn.

*Use of police dogs will be considered serious desecration of the premises and may necessitate extensive cleaning of the house and disposal of household items.

*Advice should be sought before considering the use of cameras and camcorders due to the risk of capturing individuals, especially women, in inappropriate dress.

*Muslim prisoners should be allowed to take additional clothing to the station.

*If people are praying at home officers should stand aside and not disrupt the prayer. They should be allowed the opportunity to finish.

*Officers should not take shoes into the houses, especially in areas that might be kept pure for prayer purposes.

*In the current climate the justification for pre-dawn raids on Muslim houses needs to be clear and transparent.

*Non-Muslims are not allowed to touch holy books, Qurans or religious artifacts without permission. Where possible, Muslim officers in a state of 'Wudhu' (preparation before prayer) should be used for this purpose.

This would be like allowing drug suspects to set the terms for DEA raids. It doesn't make a lick of sense!

Wednesday Morning 7:00AM Guest

Carrie McDonnall survived an insurgent ambush in northern Iraq that killed her husband, David, and three others, as told in Facing Terror.

Since becoming an international missions worker in 1999, Carrie has served in Israel, Jordan, Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries. During that time, she met and married David McDonnall, a fellow relief worker. They served together in Iraq doing humanitarian work until the attack in March, 2004.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Carrie is “a maroon-blooded Aggie through-and-through.”

Still recovering from her wounds, she is currently at home in Texas. She has established Carry On Ministries (www.carryonministries.org) to support global missions work, and hopes one day to return to international work herself.

Carrie offers the unique perspective of someone who was on the ground in Iraq, working among the people. She'll be speaking at a conference at First Baptist
Church in Oveida, FL this week.

How Much For The Girl?

Getting Clinton's Goat

"Former US president Bill Clinton has been offered 40 goats and 20 cows for his daughter by a love-struck African government official," Sky News reports:

Mr Clinton was offered the deal on a recent trip to Kenya.

He was offered the animals as a traditional African way of getting a father to give away his daughter's hand in marriage. . . .

Godwin Kipkemoi Chepkurgor wrote to Mr Clinton through Kenya's Foreign Minister.

He said: "Had I succeeded in wooing Chelsea, I would have had a grand wedding.

"I would have invited South African Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu to preside at the ceremony."
They were going to throw in Amy Carter as the deal closer.

Did Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary do anything wrong or illegal.

Mike Thomas of the Orlando Sentinel seems to suggest that in today's column.

Is Beary sheriff or a highly paid security guru?

Beary pocketed $43,000 as a security consultant.
Beary basically fronted his company taxpayer money to cover salaries and expenses. It was set up to create a system for assessing the vulnerability of buildings to terrorism. As it came up with the system, another company was brought in to develop software for the security-assessment system and to market it.
If Beary used his position and department to produce a product, then shouldn't all proceeds from that product belong to the taxpayers?

Racial Profiling U.K. says "OK". Should we?

NewsMax.com is peporting...

Brits Begin Racial Profiling for Terrorists

British law enforcement has begun to use racial profiling to identify and search terrorist suspects as the hunt continues for a possible third terrorist cell in London - with most government officials expressing at least tacit support for the controversial new policy.

Interviewed by the Daily Mail on Sunday, British Transport Police Chief Constable Ian Johnston first broached the issue, saying his officers would not shy away from targeting those groups most likely to present the greatest threat. "Intelligence-led stop-and-searches have got to be the way," he told the Mail. "We should not waste time searching old white ladies." Read the rest HERE.

Meanwhile back here in the States...

Legislation Would Allow Profiling

A State Assemblyman says he plans to introduce legislation allowing cops to use racial profiling to target Middle Easterners when searching bags.

Dov Hikind, a Brooklyn Democrat, says the NYPD's new policy of randomly checking bags at subway entrances may be politically correct, but it won't make passengers safer.

Hikind said police should focus on young Middle Easterners called and called it - insane - to look for bombs in the bags of 75-year-old grandmothers.

Racial profiling is illegal, but Hikind says he will introduce legislation to remove that prohibition.

The Incident Near Tinker Air Force Base – My Conversation With The Eyewitness

“My Life Will Never Be The Same”
By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

Updated August 2, 2005: For over an hour today, I interviewed the eyewitness to the incident that took place just outside of Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 13, 2005. For those who do not know the story, a man claimed to have seen three Middle Eastern males standing outside of a vehicle parked near the Tinker AFB property. One of the men was holding what appeared to be a 4-6’ long olive or drab green tube resembling a rocket launcher or shoulder-fired missile launcher at shoulder height. A second man was holding a camera, while the third appeared to be watching the surroundings. Without a doubt, the men were obviously out of place and acting in a very suspicious manner. This witness told me other facts as well, many that I was able to substantiate through independent investigation. Read the rest of Doug's account HERE.

Doug stopped by the show this morning to update us on the Tinker AFB story. Go to his web-site to view the OKC Police Incident report and read the eye witness account.

Houston, You Have a Problem

Jed Babbin in The American Spectator...
By now, after years of research on the International Space Station, Russian cosmonauts have undoubtedly proven scientifically that you can make a vodka screwdriver with Tang. Not that you'd want to drink the damned thing, but I bet they did. Racing along, propelled by this fearsome space race, the Chinese are sending their own space explorers up to test the effects of low gravity on pig sperm. The only good thing you can say about the Chinese effort is that we're not paying for it. Which cannot be said of the International Space Station, an orbiting WPA project that -- along with its aging and unreliable delivery truck, the space shuttle -- are diverting the time, money and scientific talent NASA should be spending on real science and space exploration. British police now have to remove their shoes before raiding Muslim houses

POLICE have been told they must show respect by taking their SHOES OFF before raiding the homes of Muslim terror suspects.

It was one of 18 rules laid down in new guidelines for officers in Luton — a hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism.

This has to be a joke! I'd love to know what the other 17 rules are?

Answer
Time to Level Playing Field for Gun Makers By John R. Lott, Jr.

Senate Moves to Shield Gun Industry

WASHINGTON - Senate Republicans on Tuesday moved the National Rifle Association's top priority ahead of a $491 billion defense bill, setting up a vote on legislation to shield firearms manufacturers and dealers from lawsuits over gun crimes.

"The president believes that the manufacturer of a legal product should not be held liable for the criminal misuse of that product by others," said White House spokesman Scott McClellan. "We look at it from a standpoint of stopping lawsuit abuse."

The bill would prohibit lawsuits against the firearms industry for damages resulting form the unlawful use of a firearm or ammunition.

[Senator Larry] Craig said such lawsuits are "predatory and aimed at bankrupting the firearms industry," unfairly blaming dealers and manufacturers for the crimes of gun users.

Sure your list is much longer than my list (but my
body count far outnumbers yours). We can also go way
back in history when the Christians of the first
crusade broke into Jerusalem and killed everyone
(40,000 people, including burning all the Jewish
people who went to hide in their synagogue). There
are some more people/groups, that are not tied to
Christianity, I could add including (ETA - Basque
(Spain), FARC - Columbia) etc.

Now, I certainly don't believe that Christians are
violent people. But if a group of people had a
specific agenda, they could use my list above and
twist it to show that all Christians cannot be trusted
etc.

I am a Muslim living in Central Florida and I too
worry about my family being attacked by terrorists.
Muslims are victims of terrorists too - as is evident
in Iraq. What makes people think that Muslims weren't
killed in the Trade Center, or that there aren't
Muslim Fire Fighters in New York? I know of at least
1 Muslim Fire Fighter who was there on 9/11.

I am also very concerned about my wife or 2 year old
being attacked or killed by some nut out there who
listens to all the rhetoric and all the stereotyping
that goes on the air and assumes the worst of us.

Is it fair that I (I am a defense contractor working
on US Army military satellite software) get pulled
aside (for my brown skin and beard) and grilled at the
airport, then ignore the clean shaven white male
behind me who is the next BTK Killer, or Timothy
McVeigh etc? I am not saying I don't want airport
security - it is surely needed for all of us.

I hope that you can be a little more balanced with
your show so that our children will have a safer world
to grow up in. The terrorists will be happy to see us
hurt each other.

Peace be with you

Obviously you don't listen to my show otherwise you'd know that I had you Imam on for a full hour Thursday. Something I didn't have to do. Although your test is very clever the one on our web-site has to do with modern day terrorism directed against the United States. Instead of lashing out at talk radio your time would be much better spent purging Islam of the radical extremists that are committing acts of terror in the name of your god.

Best~
Pat Campbell

Dear Mr. Cambell,

You are correct, I do not listen to your show, I was
replying on what I saw on your web site. Thank you
for hosting an Imam on your show.

I am not lashing out at you as you said. I wanted to
point out how people can misuse/interpret such a list
and what it could cause.

If you have any real ideas on how I can purge Islam
from radicals please let me know, because I don't know
any radicals, and I don't see any at Mosques in
Orlando. Yes if we see anything suspicious, we will
report it, but I haven't seen anything suspicious for
the past 15 years I lived here in Central Florida.

Peace be with you.

"Yes if we see anything suspicious, we will report it, but I haven't seen anything suspicious for the past 15 years I lived here in Central Florida."

You've got to be kidding? I have 3 words for you -Sami Al-Arian. Why hasn't he been kicked out of Islam?

Best~
Pat Campbell
